Hooray and thank you. My mom collects flamingos, or at least the family decided that we will all give her tons of them and now it's a bit of a joke. Either way, I really hope she likes them.

She should love them! How did you do the color work? Did you have to switch the yarn every time you wanted to change colors?

You basically hold both colors as you knit around and switch them as needed. Just carry the pink across the back of the brown, and vice versa. The insides of the mittens have some extra lines of yarn because of this, but it doesn't feel any differently from normal knits. If I'd had time, I could have knit a lining which would have hid all that. Perhaps next time.

Thanks! I'm pretty pleased with them. I'm also much better at attaching thumbs now than I was a few years ago. It's nice when you can see improvement in your work.
