gamery geekery

There was a time when myself and a close friend argued over which was the better console. What I came to realise is that I should keep my own console but also own the one that he owned. I never did buy one of the other consoles though. One day I may. Said console was the Nintendo GameCube. A few years on and Sony and Nintendo started a full on ( Read more... )

I havn't bought Mario Kart for the DS as yet but I think I am going to have to.

As for Res I'm more of a Silent Hill fan. The GameCube did have that awsome Star Wars game though and that pikmin thing looked facinating. Oh and Soul Calibur 2 looked great but I didn't like the controller so stuck with the PS2 version.

I have to admire the way Mark came home telling me I couldn't play Nintendogs on his DS Lite (he uses Brain Drain, Mario Bros and some other game I can't remember).

Then shows me the different Nintendogs whilst shopping (Labrador (awww), Beagle (awwwwww), Husky (AWWWWWWWWWW!) then secretly installs the Nintendogs screensaver on my PC because he's a bastard! ;)

Why, oh, why did I not stay with the rich Gadget man?! :D

Nintendogs has actually got me slightly interested. Is it like a tamagochi where you can starve them and make them go mental or hide from you because you beat them? :D

I agree with you 100%, the DS is far more fun. I see that Sony are trying to get in on the act with this Loco Roco game that looks prety smart and at least Key Of Heaven is a worthwhile PSP exclusive.

I imagine I'll get a Wii before a PS3, purely becuase of price and the fact that PS3 likely launch games don't look all that snazzy.

This video for Rayman shows a good concept for how the Wii will play.

I still would love a PSP but really only to play the games that I already own on the PS2. Burnout, Devil May Cry, Socom etc. The game Daxter got me really tempted as I love 3d platformers. A Ratchet & Clank game on the PSP would really hook me. :D

Fuck me, that looks knackering. I'm sure every game won't take the same level of movement though.

Anna is playing Daxter at the moment and she likes it. I have not started it yet as still trying to finish Black on PS2 :(. Apart from Daxter I think the closest you'll get to Ratchet on PSP is a Konami game called Death Jnr but it's a bit on the short/easy side....

Yeah although I suspect that the movements are being exagerated. Damn at least I hope they are!

I bet that you actually at the end of the game of Black. Its a bitch and I was a tad shocked when I discovered that was it. Ratchet & Clank : Size Matters should be out on the PSP in 2007. Although we'll all be on PS3s by then. :D

I'm always going to end up buying the latest Nintendo handheld eventually, as it's the only format the Pokemon games are released on.

I also love my Gamecube, as I'm very much into games that are fun & cute. I think it's a shame it's so hard to find games for it now. Only one shop really carries them around here, & the prices are extortionate. :o(
