Try any of the guitar shops on Charing cross road, or Argent street (off of charing cross rd).

Turnkey has a big floor of guitars but i know nothing about guitars whatsoever...:(

Ah guitars, how I love them so...

Anyway tbh, I couldn't tell you about decent Guitar shops in London at all, nevermind Soho, Camden or the West End. YEs I'm a dirty northerner, what can I say?

Hoever I can recommend a couple of online stores which are pretty decent price wise and can be good for a bargain:-

www.coda-music.com
www.sohosoundhouse.com (might even have a store in Soho, but not sure, lol)
www.GAK.co.uk

Hope they prove useful for you.

Sohosoundhouse is a trading name for Turnkey, or visa versa.

GAK is based in brighton

I'll take a wander down Charring Cross Road tomorrow lunch time I think. So far the average price for it off the shelf is about £320 from most of the sites I've looked at including those mentioned above. I've found it online with free delivery for £265.

Make sure you also go along Denmark Street and St Giles St. to find the smaller specialist shops.

I was just about to suggest Denmark Street, but I can see it's already been mentioned. I have been dragged into guitar shops there many a time by my ex, who is a professional guitarist!

Excelent thank you. These are all streets I generally don't go down as I normally use Soho Street, Frith Street etc when wandering around.
