I'm contemplating the demise of my LJ. It's a funny thing really-- I don't post here, but everyday, at least once a day, I come and read my "friends" page and even then I rarely post comments. I'm just not the same person I was when I first started my LJ

You're at the same spot I am. I still come here daily, but I don't see any reason that I'd post ever again.

But why not keep it around anyway? Maybe no longer a trip down memory lane for you, but it is for the people that know you. Plus, you said some really nice things about me in here. :)

Just because you don't want to be halokiss anymore doesn't mean you have to stop blogging. And just because you want to stop blogging doesn't mean you have to erase your tracks. I know a number of folks who stopped blogging because they felt they were restricted by the persona they'd built up or inherited from a younger self. Would have been nice if they'd kept writing as the person they had become. The net is littered with discarded skins and invalid links. We lose a sense of continuity, of how the journey brought us where we are - and when things get deleted we lose the past altogether. Not just the past of others but of our interaction with them.

Anyway, it would make me sad and I'm not even a regular.
