Valentine's Day weekend was nice. On Saturday we went to O'Malley's Galley with Kenn, Brian, and Scott. I tried the Shepard's pie and it was delicious! Afterwards we did some gaming and tried a "Dominion" clone/variant called "Thunderstone". Just in time for Valentine's Day, I was able to re-loan to two new KIVA.org entrepreneurs! Cristina who sells clothing and Betty who runs a grocery store. Both of them are in Peru, and seem to be very hard working and dedicated as they've been running their businesses for 7-8 years each. Persistence is a quality I find very admirable. :)

So today (Tuesday) was wonderful. Slept in as long as I wanted, then Tyler took a shower with me. Afterward, I went to do the dishes, only to find he had done them all while I slept in! This was the first time he's done them since we moved in (so like 6 months), and it was awesome that it meant I could relax... mostly... I did end up vacuuming ( Read more... )

Just woke from a nap to find a voicemail from my dad letting me know my other grandma (his mom) was dead. I haven't seen her since my grandfather's funeral about 16 years ago. I just somehow managed to bite through my piece of steak and into a fork hard enough to chip a small piece out of my tooth. It's not deep enough to cause any nerve pain, but the edge of the chip is sharp, and I'm worried that my tooth could rot easier now. Hrmmm. At least it was on a bottom tooth, so my overbite covers it.
