so yesterday i tried to resume normal life...yet again it ended at the er.
so now i haven't eaten in about 2 days and beyond a painful sip here and there i haven t drank anything in about a day and a half.
my tongue is so big that the dog thinks i'm making fun of her. and it feels like marbles are in my throat, but the have spikes when i try to swallow.
so kel and linda rushed me to Griffin Hospital since i got home and my throat was SHUT.
2iv's and 2 baffled doctors later they tell me the closest they can find is an advanced form of strep. and they think that the infection might have been spreading and that explains why i'm basically deaf now.what's odd is that i didn't get anyone else sick, so it's pretty much a self contained virus which is good, kinda. they let the iv's run and gave me this HUGE dose of penicillin and said if i didn't feel marvelous by midnight tonight to come back and they'd run more tests.
they were shocked to hear that waterbury didn't do a throat culture on me...
i'm never going there again, griffin was the best, all the nurses are nice and they constantly ask how you feel, the doctors will ask one another for help diagnosing, plus they have like 12 on in the er and Waterbury only keeps one on staff...i was out of there in like 3 hours and felt a little better when i left...so when the bill from waterbury comes i'm going to pay for the iv i had and send them a copy of my diagnosis from griffin. Waterbury is not getting paid, a $10 test would have kept me from this much pain. and that doctor didn't speak English...i'm an American, and i have the right to not pay them.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
ohhhhhhhhhhhhh p.s.- yeah i learned something....iv's make you pee allot right? i'm so dehydrated that i'm peeing SALINE!! lol
