I've been reading a biography of Truman Capote. Although I wish I could say I was hip enough to read it before the movie came out, I'm not. Heck, my Mom let me borrow it. But it's an interesting read, and I relate to it more than I had thought I might

The main difference between Capote and I was his clarity of vision for his future.

It's a problem. I want to be a nuclear physicist, I want to be an actor, I want to be a screenwriter, I want to be somebody who knows how to fix things - I have settled on being half a writer, because I can do it without thinking about it, so why not let sombody pay me money and health insurance for it? But... it's not what I wanted to do. I wanted to be an astronaut, I wanted to be a pilot, I wanted to be a guy who knows how to do shit other than write. I dunno.
