I think it is rather annoying when people call you a poser when you start getting into things after other people are. But, really, why does it matter when you start listening or doing

there's definately no wrong time to start listening to elliott smith. it's ridiculous for someone to think that you shouldn't listen to him at all rather than start now. it's like they're mad at you for not listening to him, but then don't won't you to listen to him. it's just hypocritical.

..and it's nice to see you're listening to the song i completely slaughtered. Maybe i'll play it again sometime and even make it through the first verse.

Oh come, come! Everyone messes up once in a while. I have many, many times. I know it sucks, but the audience really doesn't care. They know how it is. I say this from experience. hallie love, you know when i called myself a poser for just starting to listen to Elliott, i didn't really mean it, and i definitely didn't mean you were. it was a mock of what other people say to me, and kinda whining about it because it is so not right to label people like that, especially with music. if you, me, or anyone else happens to discover Elliott or any other music later than other peoples and they calls us posers for it, then they don't know shittles about music or what it means to love music.
