I was summoned to court today, in reference to my mugging last August. It turns out the subpoena was an oversight: the State's Attorney office thought I was a police officer--which amused the real police no end--and my testimony wasn't needed. (This was determined after only 2 hours: lickety-split in judicial time.) But the case is progressing,

Have you gotten any of your stuff back yet?

nope--it's all still considered potential evidence. however, there is potentially good news on that front (more in a forthcoming post)
