so i received this email when i applied for my federal student loans:

Thank you for your recent online application for a new Wells Fargo deposit account

I think they're supposed to send the promissory note to you the first time and then in subsequent semesters you sign them at the bursar's office.

I think if you called the school's financial aid office you'd probably get better information than from the bank.
