top five books

hello livejournal. this is my current list of top five favorite books of all time:

the persian boy, mary renault
war and peace, leo tolstoy
the electric koolaid acid test, tom wolfe
roots, alex haley
the bible, various

thoughts? your top five?

I've read 3/5 and would agree on two of them. Nice choices!

Old post, I know. But I am very bored at work and looking through my friendslist to keep me from faceplanting on my keyboard. lol

I've read 1 and 5. Loved #1; fond memories of reading it in a sunny park in summer. #5 and I have had varying degrees of closeness over the years.

My mum watched the mini-series for #4 and I (at age 11) was so freaked out by it that I never could bring myself to read the book.

As for my top 5 faves... That's like asking one to pick one's favorite child. I just can't do it.
