And let me tell you, it is the worst feeling i have ever had. So far i have come home in tears from every track event this week. I don't even know what to do anymore. monica! of course i don't go to your school, so i wouldn't know any of this, but from getting to know you over the past year from church you are so awesome. i don't see how anybody could ignore you, or not like you. you're the awesomest 10th grader i know.
I just don't feel like anybody listens to me anymore.
i listen to you. i listen to you because i look up to you.
hope everything turns out OK soon..

Holy crap...Monica, I was complaining to Marcy about the exact same thing. I absolutely hate track this year. The kids who are better get all of the attention...training, encouragement...it's one of the most frustrating things that I've ever come to face with. I hate it. You try your hardest and there's no good job or pat on the back...you just walk across the track, put on your warm ups, and sit back down left with your own thoughts. Don't let it get you down too much, I'm going to stick with track (although I'm not very good). Rather than doing it for the good of the team, I'm going to do it for the good of myself. That sounds awfully self-centered I must admit. But rather than trying to live up to expectations or feeling like you must meet the approval of coaches or peers you should just jump for yourself. You get a 4'9 today, get a 4'10 the next. A PR is called personal record for a reason. Just do your best Monica and do it for yourself. Good luck with the rest of the season :)

So long as you're not a bodybuilder, there will always be a shoulder or two here for you, even if I can't find or feel them when I wake up in the morning.
