I obviously know very little of your relationship with Mike, but I do know this: change is difficult. It's really tough to leave the familiar, the comfortable, and the known and venture out into the unfamiliar, the new, and the unknown. But you know what? That's how we learn new things, that's how we change, and that's how we grow. Everything is always changing; some changes are just more noticeable, such as friends returning to school, a different situation that we've never experienced, or going off to college for the first time (like me). No matter what, though, we always get to choose how we react to those situations. If you look at them as opportunities to meet new people, to challenge ideas and beliefs that you've previously held, and, in the process, to become the young woman that God wants you to be, you'll be more than okay. I know this is so much easier said than done, because it's sort of how I've felt a lot lately too, being away. I know that I need to do so much better.
