VoH: Schelkunchik ended

I'm surprised this hasn't come up for discussion yet, so I thought I might as well break the news for those who don't know yet.

Schelkunchik's serialization in Young Gangan ended this Friday. Confirmation can be found on ANN and on Watanabe's blog. Having not seen the last chapter yet, I have no idea how things got wrapped up, or if there was even

This is... just so sad. T_T I refuse to believe it's stopping here! There's just no way to wrap up the plot so fast. There has to be a new series in the works! T_________T

Well, there's always fanfiction, right? ^^;; But yeah, the manga ending where it is now is really sudden. I can't help but wonder if the magazine forced the conclusion because of low sales. :|

I read in his blog that he MIGHT work something out with a serialization as an online magazine? (if I remember correctly a fan said "well, mamotte shugogetten mangaka did something similar..."

Online publishing will cut down on the cost of serializing the series, but it'll depend on how he ends Schelkunchik. If he left it open ended then we may very well get a continuation through some other means.

he left the an open ending for whatever happens, but an end nonetheless. he still wants do a continuation, though.

and it ends with schell departin for a new trip. so yeah.

someone want me to break up with manga... since a few days ago another of my favorite series was dropped after a huge break.. meh.

i will look for the last two (yes .. two =_=; ) chapters and i will post them as i got them..

The raw for the last chapter is already available at Rawpiece.com. (That site started putting up raws for Young Gangan recently. But I suppose it doesn't matter any more since the Schelkunchik manga's stopping...)

It's such a pain that it's ending! I hope the possibility in the comments above that he might be looking into online publication will bear fruit eventually.

Oh! Thanks for the tip. At least it's an open-ended ending even though it totally does not feel an ending at all :p so that's encouraging.
