Haven't read YW series in years (more than five, in fact), but was thinking about them the other week and thought of Tom and Carl and how incredibly domestic they were.

And then this shows up.

Wow, talk about mental wavelengths. You get many kudos, and I really like this. Can't talk about veracity of character, really, which is probably a terrible thing to admit, given that you were probably hoping for concrit, but this goes with how I vaguely remember their personalities being, and the comfort at the end? Is sweet, and gentle, and terribly realistic.

Wow...marvelous thing those mental wave lengths...;-) Thanks for your comments - much appreciated! Am glad you read it and thought they were in character as far as your memory serves you - I've been getting back into the series this year when I found the first four book on sale second hand, and was mightly pleased to discover that there are now about...8 books in the series, I think? Maybe worth getting back into?

I really enjoyed this. I haven't read the series since high school, but I loved it, and I thought Tom and Carl were a cute couple. This is a very good story. Kudos to you for this pairing.
