Windows file clean-up help?

Dec 31, 2005 17:19

Can anyone suggest a way to get rid of some low risk Adware files located in:

C:\_RESTORE\ARCHIVE\

C:\_RESTORE\TEMP\

Files are of types xxxx.CAB and xxxx.CPY

Unfortunately, the archive and temp directories aren't visible even when I make hidden files and directories visible and neither Norton or McAfee will clean/delete/quarantine them.thanks

Yes thanks but unfortunately the offending files are already backed up as part of the system restore and so aren't accessible for deleting, without say hacking the registry. All the anti-virus programs find the files, they just can't delete/clean them.
