hamsters and incense

So I am really worried right now. Today I burned two incenses in my room in the last 4 hours and didn't think about Takashi (Chinese Dwarf Hamster), he is in a large 72 QT bin cage that has a front window and the top window and i am worried about the smoke and the smell from the incenses. I think you should be fine. They're probably only expressing concern for chronic users (let's call it that, it sounds good.) I don't think one time is going to hurt him any. Just air out your room if you're worried, and don't make a habit out of doing it regularly :-)

Don't worry too much. In my younger days I would smoke cigarettes a few times a week in the same room as my smaller animals and none of them had anything but a normal or longer life span. I would NOT recommend it or do it again, but I also would not worry about something you can't go back in time and change. Just don't do it again but don't beat yourself up over it. :)

I really like incense for scent as well, much better than scented candles, but we don't do it in the same room as the little fluffs, because I don't like to have any kind of smoke in the air where they are. But you did all the right things and I'm sure he'll be okay, I think it would take more exposure than what he's had to do harm.
