We do seem to have a lot of mutual friends! Happy to add you (though my locked posts are mostly about family and day-to-day stuff with occasional travel and fannish links and such, so not sure how interesting that will really be. But if that sounds of interest, definitely feel free to friend me and I will do the same :)

Hi! I'm always happy to have new friends, but I'm curious to learn more about what interests we have in common -- I looked at your profile page and LJ, and I couldn't find any overlap (except in a couple of mutual friends), but I know my profile page is not up to date either and it's hard to tell with a locked/semi-locked LJ. :) So, could you elaborate a bit on the things we have in common to give me a better feel for whether we'd be likely to hit it off?
