Now I kind of wish I'd stayed and watched the Percy Jackson episodes at my friend's, with Alik. I think we've so far read maybe three of the books together? Right now we're reading a different Rick Riordan series, about the Egyptian gods. And it's not as good.
The rodents read the Kane Chronicles (I think that's what those are called?) books, and also thought they weren't as good. I never tried them, but it seems like Egyptian mythology just doesn't lend itself to the same kind of lighthearted bonkers stuff treatment as the Greek one does. The other one I liked was the more recent Norse mythology one -- Magnus Chase and the [whatever]. I actually think those might be better than the Percy ones.
So far (and we've still only watched the two episodes I posted about, though 1 more has come out meanwhile), the Disney+ show is pretty good and worth watching, I think! -- if you liked or reasonably enjoyed the books.

Guess I'll have to put Percy Jackson on my watch list, eh?
