It was another morning in Horikoshi Gakuen. Students are happily chit-chattering with their friends across the hallways, others are singing, some are studying. To put it simply, it was a lovely, sunny day for the students. Everyone in the campus was very much lovely and alive-except for a student who goes by the name of Minori.
“Minori-chan, ohayou~” Chinen and Sachii chorused. Minori smiled a little and nodded. Sachii just sighed as Minori dove on her desk.
Ever since that day, Chinen and Sachii got together. Minori excitedly congratulated them, and wished both of them happiness with each other. Though the new couple was happy about them, they knew a friend was hurting. Yamada has been absent from school, and from the practices as Chinen says. Everytime the idol’s name was heard, Minori’s body would tense up and she’ll frown. Both Chinen and Sachii knew they had to make a move. Especially Chinen. He couldn’t let Minori suffer just because he messed up, right?
It was lunch time. Minori offered to order their lunches, and Chinen knew it was the best time to talk to his girlfriend over the idea he came up since yesterday. He pulled her close, whispering on her ear.
“Sachii, I now have a plan to get them together. So this is how it goes…”

“Chii, are you sure this will work out?” Sachii said, fixing-well, more like destroying-her hairstyle to make it look like she has been attacked. Chinen smiled at her, pecked on her soft lips and hugged her.
“If this doesn’t work out, I swear I’ll do anything to make things right again. I can’t let this drama get any further.” Breaking their hug, Chinen dialed Yamada’s number through Sachii’s phone and passed it on to his girlfriend.
“Now Sachii, do your best! I’m counting on you.” He kissed her and left.
When the girl heard Yamada’s voice on the other end of the line, she started panting fakely, and her voice was shaky as Yamada asked her what’s wrong.
“Y-yamada-kun, M…Minori-chan has been kidnapped!”
“What?! Who is this and where is she?!” Yamada’s startled voice rang through the ears of the latter and she swore she felt panic as well.
“T-this is…Yoshida Sachii, II-A’s representative. I…I saw her being taken away by…by punks from the…all-boys school near us! Onegai, I need you to save her…”
“Okay, mail me everything and I’ll go directly to where she is. Please. Thank you.”
“H-hai, jaa.”
When the line went dead, Sachii mailed Yamada the place where everything would happen. She also mailed him that she was there, and she would be waiting for him. After sending the mail, she giggled and sent a mail to Chinen.

Subject: I’m done with my part!
Chii, I’m going to my position now, ganbatte ne? (chuu)

Few minutes later, Sachii saw Yamada running to where she stood. Immediately putting on her face of worry and tiredness, she approached him.
“Y-yamada-kun!” she gasped. “M-Minori-chan…she’s inside that abandoned building…” she faked a cry and grasped the latter’s shoulders. “P-please save her…Onegai..”
“I will.” Yamada said, looking at the abandoned building. “Wait here and I’ll settle things inside.” Sachii just nodded.
Minori-chan, I’m coming for you!

When Yamada entered the building, he felt something was not right.
Where are the guys? They should be here…somewhere…
He snapped out his thoughts when he heard a muffled voice.
“Minori?!” he looked around the dark, old building. He silently cursed himself for not bringing a flashlight. It was totally dark inside the building for the building had no windows. Once again, he heard the muffled voice-this time, the words he heard was a confirmation that Minori was in there.
“Y-Yama..mmmnnggghh!”
“Minori! I’m saving you!” He said, and ran into where he thinks the voice was coming from. He didn’t care what he may face, as long as he saves Minori.
Suddenly, he felt something pointy on his back and an arm around his torso. He struggled to fight, but whoever was holding was too strong.
“Go any further and we’ll shoot her in the head.” Warned the mysterious man. Yamada felt nervous when he heard a click. This can’t be happening. This SHOULDN’T be happening. He felt warm, salty tears gust down on his face.
“W-what are you gonna do with her?” he asked, and gasped when he heard Minori gasped and whimpered in fear.
“It’s a secret~” the man holding the idol sing-sang in his ear, giving the Johnny’s idol shivers.
“Please, don’t. Don’t harm her. Harm me instead.” Yamada didn’t know what exactly to do, so he pleaded.
The man behind him chuckled. “And why would we do that? What is your relationship with the girl anyways?” he felt the point thing on his back move to upwards, to his neck.
“Because…” Yamada sighed. “B-because…I love her! I love her since I first laid my eyes on her, please! Please don’t do anything to harm her. I love her, and I can risk my life just to make sure she’s out safe. Please…”
“Fine then, be her replacement.” Yamada heard another voice-a familiar one-from the corner of the room. “You have 60 seconds to set her free. If the timer counts down to zero, sorry, both of you dies. Game over.” The voice chuckled and Yamada felt the man from behind him loosen his hold on him.
“Your timer…starts…now!”
He felt surprised when the lights went on, and he found nobody else but a tied up, blindfolded Minori. He ran to her, and he could tell that she was sobbing.
“60…59…58…”
He untied her, removed her blindfold and hugged her. No words exchanged, just actions. Minori clung onto him, and Yamada hugged her.
“49…48…47…”
“Thank God they haven’t done anything worse than this.” He kissed her temple. “Minori, I love you and you must know that…”
“35…34…33…32…”
Minori shook her head and hugged him tighter. “I already knew that, Yamada-kun…all I want to say is that…I love you too…”

He kissed her on the lips. “I’m sorry for being a jerk and shouting like that the last time we met…” and she just replied an ‘It’s okay’ while still hugging him.

“Minori, you must go. You need to be safe.”

He kissed her for the last time and hugged her tightly, waiting for anything to hurt him or her. But nothing came except for confetti and shouts.
“W-what…?” the new couple was shocked to see Chinen, Sachii, and their classmates surrounding them.
“Yatta! Our plan worked!” Chinen cheered and hugged his girlfriend on the waist.
“P-plan…?” Minori eyed Chinen in curiosity.
Chinen laughed nervously. “Ehe. Well…Everything that happened was planned by yours truly…” he sheepishly scratched the back of his head.
“Oh you…” Yamada said in frustration. “You got me worked up for nothing!”
“Well if I didn’t, would you do something about this?”
“I guess…” Yamada looked at Minori and embraced her. “…you’re right. Thanks Chinen, you’re…wait!”
“Hmm?” both Sachii and Chinen looked at Yamada with confused faces.
“I thought you liked Minori-chan too! What’s with you, hugging Yoshida-san like that?” he pointed an accusing finger at the little acrobat.
“I did. But you know, thank to Minori, Sachii and I are together now.” Chinen smiled and kissed Sachii on the cheek. Everyone else ‘aww’-ed at the sweet sight.
“Y-you guys…are together?!” Yamada shrieked and the couple, together with Minori, nodded.
“That’s for walking away so suddenly!” Chinen teased his co-member, which earned a whack on the head from his girlfriend.

When everyone was out of the building, Chinen, Sachii, Yamada and Minori left as well, the hyper couple walking in front of Yamada and Minori. It was already nighttime, and Minori looked up, seeing tons of stars in the dark yet calm sky.
“Ne,” she started, causing Yamada to look at her. “…I’m very thankful to Chinen-kun and Sachii…if they never planned this out…I guess we’ll never be together…”
“Un.” He agreed, kissing her forehead. “I’m sorry for being such a jerk and causing you pain.”
Minori smiled. “Ii yo. I’m just happy we’re together now…”
Yamada smiled. Both of them paused walking and stared at each other. Nothing else mattered to them as they started to get lost in the eyes of one another, feeling dazed.
“I love you, Minorin.”
“I love you too, Yamada-kun…”
“Call me Ryosuke...”
“I…I love you too, R-ryosuke.”
And as their lips met for the second time around, they felt like time stood still just for the two of them.
Under the shining night sky, Yamada Ryosuke silently thanked kami-sama for letting him fall for the new girl, Minori.
