Get a 4x4 or nimble front wheel drive car, or forget it. Don't puss out unless your puss hurts something serious. There's something empowering abvout the snow driving, especially if you take a flat pass like Steven's or whatever.

Those figures are about %300 inflated. Still, it's bad enough. I'm on capitol hill, and it's tricky but certainly navigable (providing you're not driving a Geo or something).

My advice would be to take I-5 all the way to Seattle, and take a ferry over. The ferries are running more or less flawlessly, and I-5 is by far the safest road in the area.

I can't see it better before it gets worse, and providing you take it slow, it's nothing to miss a family Christmas over. Good luck.

I can see i5 out my window, and I wouldn't advise driving it unless you've got a truck, or a car w/ chains and a lot of patience.

poulsbo sucks. i had a shitty time driving up lincoln yesterday. it has not stopped snowing. judging by the amount of snow being collected by the edge of our house, it looks about 8+ inches. blah.
