Why is it that when we take pictures, we have to smile? Well, it kind of defies the essence of a photograph, which i suppose, is about capturing the most natural moment, without reservation or exaggeration. Don't you think that we are happy because we have experienced sadness? We will not be able to understand the full extent of what happiness entails unless we have experienced sadness.
The smiles on stage reflect the joy of the fruits of labour that have come about because of the sweat the tears.
Mao, they are not seperate entities! Light and shadows coexist! One cannot exist without the other! XP

im not emo! Just being contemplative!haha. I understand what you're trying to say, its just that i wonder why we always smile for photographs.

But yea, one cannot exist without the other, applies to other forms of relationship as well. haha.
