There are so many ways but for me this is the easiest...
What we need:
1. video(which you want to make .gif of)
2. the KMplayer
3. Photoshop(mine is CS6 but any version will do)
first of all we need some screen captures to turn them into gifs...that's when we use the KMplayer...open the video in KM player...then right click in wherever you want and go to: capture->extract
you should see this:
the setting are which i use for making gifs always...you can change it depend on how you like the gif to be...
play the movie and click on start button at "frame extraction" window...
now we have the screen caps ,open the first screencap in Photoshop...this will serve as our gif's background...
go to capture folder...select the rest and drag them into PS...
now hide every layer except background one.it should be like this:
go to window->timeline…here is where we make gifs…open new frame in timeline then make second layer(I mean the layer after background) visible!open another frame and make the third layer in layers pallet visible too…keep doing this until all layers become visible to you…to make it clear watch this gif:
Now we only have to set time for every frame…click on first frame….hold "shift" click at last frame now click on "0sec" below one of the frames…give it a time…I use 0.15 when I take 8frame per second at kmplayer…it depend on your taste you can make it slower or faster.
Everything is ready and we only have to save it…go to file->save for web
Befor saving, click on "preview" to see how it look when you upload it on your weblog. if you are satisfied with the result save if it…if not return to PS change timing until it satisfy you.
here is my result:
p.s:
hope you find it useful.
