these pictures are cool. I can't do stuff like this by myself.
we (my housemates and I) were looking for a new place, because our house wasn't so secure and we found this place just around the corner that looked pretty empty.
turns out it wasn't. there were heaps and heaps of coins and bottles. it also smelled REALLY bad. we were so scared, it was horrible.
which is a pity, because the kitchen was basically straight out of a doll house or something.
REALLY??? Was it just an abandoned house? God, I really love pretty kitchens. Especially when they have old checkered tiles or something along those lines. Coins and bad smells. That does sound creepy!!!
YES!!! At least, it was abandoned, but being squatted. The area where I used to live was full of all these supposedly "empty" houses, but upon closer inspection were actually occupied. Quite a while ago, the state government shut down a lot of mental health facilities, meaning that heaps of people were suddenly made homeless and moved into places like that.
Pretty kitchens are the best. My kitchen is all brown tiles and amber glass. Very 70's; I love it.
Oooh this looks so interesting! I love trespassing on really cool and amazing places. (I love staking out supposedly haunted places too) There was this field not too far from my ex's house that literally had trees growing around it and there were all kinds of crazy things inside...glass bleach bottles and shoes and what appeared to be a suitcase. Stuff was tossed around like the occupants were trying to make a hasty exit. I took a picture of the place and when it was developed there was this white shadow that looked eerily like a woman with her hair tied back and glasses peering out the window. It was awesome and I miss visiting places like that! I'd have loved seeing all these trains!
THAT'S NEAT. Hearing about everybody else's creepy experience with weird places makes me want to make a post about it asking people to share them with me. It's so odd that there's just these things existing places. It's neat when we find them, and wander outside of the normal society to find something peculiar that we don't necessarily expect.
I went with some other folks out to the grounds of an old, abandoned, mental institution. A couple folks went inside, but I didn't (I prefer to stay away from decaying buildings with decaying asbestos). It was still pretty weird.
