NOPE! It's cave-dwelling glow worms from New Zealand! They lower sticky strands to catch bugs in. They seem to catch the light of the glow worms as well. They're really pretty.
My mom taught me about static electricity when I was really young. We had ran out of dryer sheets and she had washed the bedding. She told me to turn off the light and watch as she shook the blanket. Lights everywhere!! It was so fun!
My mom was good for teaching me these things. I think I was the only four year old that was told about having a period, but mom left out the point that only women had then. My sister asked many guys if they "got their period". lol
