a date which will live in infamy

I just looked at the date and I realized that it was "December 7th" and it made me sad. That infamous day took place on a Sunday and today... is a Sunday.

"Yesterday December 7, 1941- a date which will live in infamy- the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by the navel and air forces of the Empire of Japan."
