[The house that Sayaka had been staying at has finally become liveable again, which is always good news. The bad news, she's found some of her old stuff that she had to leave behind while escaping the flood. She's currently kneeling down and staring dejectedly at a violin on the floor that is far too soaked to be saved. She sighs.]

M-Miss Sayaka?

[It seems like he's always going to catch her screaming about whatever these days. At the very least, his presence calms Sayaka's (heavily exaggerated) distress.]

I... I'm fine, Maestro Chopin. It's just... I couldn't save my violin from the flood...

[She's kind of glad that she and Schneizel didn't order that piano yet... She groans with frustration.]

Ouuugh! I had to fight so many monsters to afford this one... A-And the score I was writing got messed up too...

[He can hear Sayaka's distress and feels terrible for her, though he does have an idea.]

I'm sorry to hear about your violin, though perhaps we could find you a new one? I would also be very glad to purchase it myself for you. [His ears catch what she says about a score.] Would you like my help with that score?

[Sayaka couldn't help but give a sheepish smile when she hears his suggestions.]

Oh no, I can't possibly let you do something like that! You've already done so much for me, and I'd feel too guilty about having you pay for a new violin. I don't mind the company when I go out looking for one, though!

[When he mentions the score she's be writing, she pauses.]

... I'm not sure, to be honest. The reason I'm writing music so soon, even though I'm not that skilled yet, is a bit strange...

[HELL YES IT'S NECESSARY. VIOLINS ARE SERIOUS BUSINESS, MAMI. Though it's more of Sayaka trying to hide her depression about Mozart's departure via making a fool of herself.]

I-I'm sorry... but it's just... I worked so hard to pay for this violin and I really liked it...!

[Have pity on me please. ;A;]

I know, but... This was the violin I used when I was taking lessons from Maestro Mozart, and now he's...

[... gone. Her only way to cope was to act silly.]

Anyway, I can just get some money once the Coliseum is running again. But... I can't believe that I'll miss out on so much time that I could use to practice. Kiiii! Stupid flood!

[Yes, that is the sound of a girl yelping and dropping her Dreamberry. It takes her a while to get back to it, since...yeah, wheelchair bound and all.]

Is everything okay??

[Oh, uh... Whoops.]

Yeah... The flood totally wrecked my violin, so I'm pretty much upset. Sorry if I startled you.

[DRAMATIC LAMENTATION.]

Ohhh... I paid so much for it too... I'm glad Schneizel and I didn't order that piano yet.

[...Oh. It was a violin?]

No, it's okay. I'm sorry to hear that about your violin.

[NOW THAT HER HEART HAS STOPPED POUNDING...]

...That's definitely a good thing.

It's fine... I'll just need to rack up more cash once the Coliseum is open again...

[Siiiiiiiigh.]

I'm more upset that I'll be missing out on so many practice hours... I work at an Opera House as an errand girl, but I really want to be a musician.

[Not only did he hear the scream loudly over his Dreamberry, he also heard it coming from the house behind his (for, at the time, he had been in the garden between the two houses). A bit curious, and maybe a little alarmed, he decides to find out what has happened.]

Sayaka, is everything okay?

[Unfortunately, this was one of Sayaka's better mechanisms for coping with loss, thanks to Mozart's departure from Somarium. And really, making a fool out of herself in the network is far better than picking up her sword and slaughtering things like a maniac.]

Okay?! Of course not, Lelouch! My violin! I survived so many Coliseum matches just to save enough to buy it! Completely ruined thanks to this stupid flood! I'm so---[Insert incomprehensible irate verbal keysmash gibberish here.]

Ah, try to relax, Sayaka. I can understand where losing a treasured instrument would be very upsetting, I would have been upset had my piano been destroyed by the flood.

[A pause]

Is there anything I can do to help you?

Hm.

Hmmmm.

... So your piano is perfectly fine?

Oh no! Poor violin-chan!

[Kobato does't like seeing someone upset like this, but she doesn't know how to cheer this one up over the death of a violin...which even had a name and all.]

Is there anything I can do to help?

I-It's fine... It's just... I worked really hard to save up enough to buy it. Argh, stupid flood...

That's terrible, the flood destroyed something you worked hard to get.

[Kobato knew this person was really sad and that meant she wanted to help and maybe finally get something in her flask... maybe.]

Why don't we work hard to get you another one when the time is better?

[Too bad most of that sadness was mostly aimed towards another source, and Sayaka's reaction to this particular situation is intentionally exaggerated. :'D]

I was actually planning to do that. I'm waiting for the Coliseum to reopen so I can fight some more monsters for cash.
