When people get stressed out, or generally don't want to deal with things, they might pick up a cigarette even if they stopped smoking years ago, or maybe go out and gamble an excessive amount of money, or pick up a midget tranny hooker and have fun times with VD. Isamu, likewise, was so high on sugar that it was a surprise he didn't buzz around

He's dressed more like a Japanese kid who is vaguely aware of things like 'stripes and plaid don't go together,' but not of things like flair.

"Hey..." Isamu's answer doesn't have much enthusiasm, let alone the amount required by a greeting that was chock-full of it (enthusiasm). "So what's his name isn't here yet? Hmf." Isamu pulled out a chair and kept nom nom'ing.

"Brigham," Hanatarou specifies, oblivious to any passive aggression. "I gave him the coordinates, so I'm sure he'll be here soon. Would you... like me to order you something?"

Brigham. What a stupid name. -A- Isamu really couldn't imagine Hanatarou yelling 'Oh, Brigh--' Let's stop that right there.

"Nah." Sucking in the context of Isamu usually did not involve this much sugar. "Well, maybe. I dunno."

Isamu drops his arms from Hanatarou's waist. When Brigham offers to pay, he opens his mouth to say he'll pay for everything, then...closes it. Hanatarou's been upset because of the grandstanding so more of it will just make him twisty even more. So Isamu just sort of frowns a little and turns his face towards the window.

"No, it's my treat," Hanatarou assures Brigham. Then he gets up!!

...And in short order (forty-three seconds?), he's back, with two cups of coffee, one package of creamer, and one iced coffee beverage with whipped cream and caramel on top.

"For what, being liked? Don't be such a nice guy. I can't stand it." Isamu stabs a straw into his drink. "Try a little harder to be less boring, huh?"

"Being friends is okay!!" Hanatarou answers with enthusiasm. He does not give a thumbs-up, but he's got the same sort of vibe as a person giving a thumbs-up. He either missed or is ignoring any deeper/more specific implications of Brigham's statement. (SPOILER: he missed them)

"You're not allowed to kiss him. Or hold his hand. Or generally grope him. I'd say hugging too but Hanatarou might explode if he couldn't hug you. Got it?" Staaaaare.
