I love your flower pictures. The fuchsia was probably my favorite! :-)

Is this a Graham Thomas from the Davis Austin collection? Now a days they try to breed roses so that the colour reflects the smell. Yellow is supposed to smell citrusy and some whites.. Orange - spicy, red- rosey, purple like perfume, pinks lighter rose or sweet. My favorite smelly roses are Gold Medal and White Lightning. Alison like almost all of them as long as they smell. Gold Medal is also nice because it takes longer to fade than most yellow roses.

My favorite flower season is aproaching... at least here in the NorthEast. I love mid-May for the Wysteria and Lilac. If you're favorite colour is yellow, mine must be purple. I particularly love a certain cultivar of French Lilac that blooms in a deep plum colour. I wish I knew it's name. A house a few doors down from the second house I lived in had it. I love driving by just to make sure the bush is still there nearly 3 decades later. I like the other Lilac colours: white, pink, the medium mauvey-greyish purple that one associates with "lilac", but my favorite is still that deep purple.

My other favorite flower is Peony which bloom here later in May. Sometimes I'm lucky and there's a good deal of cross over. I particularly love the combination of hot pink Peonies with any of the purple shades of Lilac. Oh, and the fragrance.... Yeah, there are times I miss being a florist.

If you love purple, you would have loved the University where I worked. In May (graduation time) The jacaranda

Gorgeous! I've heard of Jacaranda, but never seen it. Does it have a fragrance?

I'm partial to yellows, too. Yellow roses are always my favorites, and I love freesias, too. Although I must admit that my absolute favorite is a casablanca, which is white. For purity, just like me.
