Jaws: The Revenge, people.  There is nothing like watching that when you have a cold and pretty much are slackjawed and laying around like a useless blob.

Why that movie always sucks me in every time it's on cable television is beyond me (yes, I have a streak of bad taste).  I'm toadally going to spoil it below so in case you haven't seen this ( Read more... )

Re: #4

Michael Caine, who had been nominated for an Academy Award but did not win three times previously, finally received the Oscar for his performance in "Hannah and Her Sisters."

But he couldn't be there to accept it.

He was filming "Jaws: The Revenge"

I read about that....I hope that he seriously still loves that house that he paid for with the Jaws money.

By the way, did the shark get propped up to accept the award for him in his place?

"And the Oscar goes to.....Michael Caine for his performance in 'Hannah and Her Sisters'!"

*big applause*

"RAAAHHHHH-ROOOOHHHHRRRR!" (that's the shark accepting on his behalf)

I think what sucked me into Jaws the Revenge was the music (that eerie tinkling sound that preceeded almost every shark appearance), and the little girl, Judith Barsi. I was an ice skater when I was younger, and I remember when I was about 11, she was like 3 or 4 and her mom would bring her to the skating rink in a pink leotard and a pink tutu and she would skate around and do little spins. I know you are probably gagging right now, but she was the cutest little girl. Too bad she was murdered (and no, it wasn't the shark)!
