Name: Eve Brea
Fandom: Parasite Eve
Timeline:> Several weeks after the conclusion of the second game whereby she has been adopted by her big sister but is still new to the idea of living in a world outside Neo-Ark.
Age: To all appearances Eve looks like she is between the age of ten and twelve. Certain internal documents and x-rays found within the Neo-Ark facility however suggest she is only sixteen months.

Appearance: Just one glance at Eve and it's hard to imagine that she's been a mere tool most of her life. Her frame is small and slight, no larger than that of a twelve year old child, all dangly arms and long legs as she continues to grow. Her skin is soft, gentle, and without a single scar or mark thanks to her healing ability. Her face too, is softly angular, complimenting the delicate features of her Asian heritage and making an innocent-looking package that hides a surprising amount of power.

It is her stunning blue eyes however which seem to attract the most attention, quite possibly one of the most striking things about her appearance. They’re big and bright, and looking into them offers a glimpse into the sadness and hesitancy lingering just behind an innocent glimmer of childish hope. It’s rare her eyes will reflect true happiness but on that rare occasion, they light up with unadulterated childish excitement.

Her hair meanwhile is short. It had always been kept short, level with her jaw and lacking any messy troublesome bangs. This was one tradition that carried on from Neo-Ark, even if her hairs recent growth has caused a select few 'run-away' strands to make it appear a little untidy. It can also be said, that while the starkly platinum blonde hair is natural, the distinct line of dark undergrowth, is quite an enigmatic feature.

Eve’s animated body language similarly originated from Neo-Ark. When upset her shoulders seem hunched while she has keeps her head down, eyes askance. Her happiness can also portray itself, body bouncing to a happy inner monologue as a big playful smile stretches itself from cheek to cheek. This habit unfortunately coincides with some of Eve’s nervous tics. She chews her bottom lip, switches her weight from one foot to the other when nervous, and has a very tactile manner when handling toys and items alike.

Abilities: Following the events of Neo-Ark not one hint of her abilities seemed to remain. Yet despite lost memories and the apparent lack of powers once easily accessible, Eve still retained her distinctive cell structure, allowing her dormant cells the opportunity to one day reawaken. These cells are still augmented by a progressive genus of mitochondria doctors have renamed ‘Neo-mitochondria’.

Neo-mitochondria, unlike normal mitochondria, thrive on the outside of the cell and use a ‘back door’ enzyme to control the host from the genetic level. In Eve and her previous incarnations, these mitochondria have created colonies in the host’s mind, gaining a strange awareness of sentience. They can then utilize this to manipulate each cell in her body.

While this potential could be used to alter, augment and clone at will, Eve only mastered a very few traits, due in part to the selectiveness of her training and the punishments for trying otherwise.

The most prominent ability among her selective choices however is the power to control ANMC’s. More commonly known as ‘Artificial Neo-Mitochondrial Creatures’ or ‘Monsters’, these were special subjects injected with her blood whom she could alter, physically and mentally.

Furthermore the same scientists creating ANMC’s forced her into a training regimen that conditioned other defensive powers into her knowledgebase. Namely; quick regenerative healing as well as metabolic protection, which, surrounded in blue and yellow light respectively, could greatly increase her or the creature’s effectiveness.

Unlike her predecessor Aya however, she has the potential to learn how to alter the energy levels to produce heat, flames and necrosis of the cells but has no effective way of using her energy efficiently. Ultimately, even if she did recall anything, it would take a huge event, or months of constant practice to even heal effectively.

The main drawbacks to this are thus:
-Eve requires much more food than a usual human if using her abilities. Not doing so can result in a sticky liquid mess; cell contents spewing into the hungry little mitochondrion mouths.
-While Eve’s mitochondria mostly work in tandem with her cells for the single goal of self preservation, there’s always a chance that they could go hyper-active, believing there is nothing to fear ergo nothing to stand in their way.

Personality: In essence Eve is a shy and generally cautious creature who has been forced to live in the confines of Neo-ark, a place which merely cultivated unquestionable obedience and the very basic emotions needed to survive. Because of this Pavlovian inspired existence the one constant she could, and in some ways still believes she can rely on, is the ability to keep safe by being subservient to whomever her survival instincts tell her offers the best chance of survival. While these instincts aren’t quite as prevalent anymore, some aspects remain as she tries hard to oblige and generally dislikes the thought of someone disregarding her.

Despite this she has some normal interests; she loves drawing, playing and having fun, testing Aya’s limits on the odd occasion as well, as junk food and listening to happy music. She very much enjoys learning from others too and while remaining cautious about new experiences, is genuinely curious about the world which she does not quite understand. In any other sense she is a normal girl trying to understand the world and how she fits into it, even if, despite being such a quick learner, she doesn’t quite get the fine points of socializing.

To others, Eve in general will warm up to almost anybody, although it may take a few meetings depending on what the situation is and how safe she feels with any given person. She may appear aloof or distant, speaking only with a shake of her head or just when she is spoken too. People may also find she becomes very talkative, animated and friendly, inundating them with all sorts of colorful questions or simply imitating them in her own little way. There is however, little room in between and only in very, very rare circumstances will she run and hide or force herself to trust and rely on a certain individual if she needs immediate safety. In the later situation she is particularly vulnerable and easily misled, as someone with a little patience and a kind smile could manipulate and cajole her into doing almost anything.

Conditioning and social graces aside, genetics have also marked their place in her personality. She has a genuine empathy for people and if given time to grow would even take it upon herself to keep them safe. Eve is also a determined little thing and tries to think things through in a 'logical' way much like Aya, even if what's logical for a ‘twelve year old’ isn't necessarily rational to anyone else. Of course being so young she hasn’t yet mastered the skills of her genetic predecessor, but with an independent streak emerging and a desire to grow becoming more prevalent, she might just come to resembles the person she looks up to most.

History: '004' as those that created Neo-Ark designated Eve, started her life as a cloned zygote in an elaborately constructed ‘jar’. There, in whatever solution kept her small body alive, little time passed before the zygote grew into a fetus and from fetus matured into an infant. By this stage the good Doctor (Dr. Fredrick Bowman) believed it practical to remove her from the small container, bringing ‘Eve’ into the world.

A success they called it. After several hiccups in the second phase of the ‘Second Neoteny Plan’ creating three defective clones cloned from M.I.S.T. operative Aya Brea, they finally had themselves a successful clone. This clone was useful in many ways, but most importantly she was a small, controllable way to manipulate the Neo-mitochondrial creatures they intended to produce. Eve was to be her name, assigned only in relation to her function as the first. But while she wasn’t loved in a traditional sense, those who educated and nurtured her proudly groomed to follow orders, taking pride in what she achieved via their guidance.

The turning point however came fifteen months later, when Dr Bowman's isolation and constant proximity to the substances he worked with made him careless. After a single negligible experiment in the laboratory one such careless night, he began a swift regression into cellular compliance. His mitochondria had changed, his loopy semi coherent mind forcing him to rid the world of his fellow scientists; all in the name of evolution.

The outcome forced Eve to be a witness a massacre of every human she had ever known. Watching as the others were picked off one by one she soon came to realize that both 'humans' and the neo-mitochondria (exemplified by an illusive subject calling himself ‘No.9’) were a grave and immediate threat. Her solution was simple; she hastily used two organic generators to create a barrier between her and anything she could not control. Yet as she found out, Aya Brea, from whom her genetics were derived, could easily destroy her defenses. Left defenseless she became a pawn in a grab for power, barely escaping the fallout alive.

The very next thing Eve recalled was opening her eyes to find the walls of a military hospital staring back at her. She clung to Aya for comfort and was taken into the older blonde’s custody, the memories of where she had lived and who had raised her, slowly disappearing over time.
That was until she woke up in an entirely different world.
