The long and the short of it

I went to get my eyes tested today , I've never had them tested before so it was quite an experience. I was just expecting to read some letters from a chart but they did all sorts of weird things. It turns out that I'm long-sighted in one eye and short sighted in the other (I can't remember which way round though.) This makes sense  as  some people ( Read more... )

I actually like wearing glasses now. I did not as a teen and I switched to contact lenses as soon as I was paying my own way. Can you wear contacts? Why is 32 so bad? I'm 40 next year and am quite looking forward to it. I do not feel any older than 30 though.

This seems all very indicative of a deeper problem or problems. You're acting very much like someone ten or fifteen years older. So whatever lies at the root cause of this is what you need concern yourself over, before what seem foibles become core-behaviour vectors.

It's not exactly hard to guess what the problem is :o(

Nothing sinister, just old fashioned vanity and I've been 45 since I was about 12 so there's nothing out of the ordinary

So you are just like everyone else now. Well no you not as old as me nor do you have as much grey hair as me. Anyway your one grey hair (or maybe there are two) is only visable with your short sighted eye close to the mirror. I am looking forward to seeing whether you buy granny specs or something more in the Elton line. Bye the way I think your mother would be delighted to look like you.
