I need more ideas...at the moment i'm making a little cookbook-zine to go with some other bits and pieces for my mum. She was always saying how good the food I was eating since going vegan was, so I thought i'd put together a little book of some of the ones I know she really liked.
I was gonna make a t-shirt for my bro, but I found this other shirt I thought he'd love so I got that, and then i'm gonna make a clock out of an old vinyl record. I was gonna do that for the boyfriend as well, but he brought a clock home from the tip shop...so I don't know if I will anymore. Last year I made him a lamp out of an old booze bottle which was cool.
oh wow nothing quite as creative as that! i love the idea about the vinyl clock though, i may have to steal that one from you if i can figure out how to do it! for my mum i am making a cd book. there is a list a mile long of cds i have been meaning to burn for her, so i am going to do that and put them in pretty paper cases and stick them inside a book, then on the opposite page to each cd write the track listing and a short review of each one. for my boyfriend a similar thing but with photos instead. i'm not very good at creative stuff though so i'm a bit scared to attempt more than that, without practice!
I think it's pretty straight forward...just get a clock making kit and go from there! That sounds really lovely, the cd book idea! You should also check out instructables.com for ideas...I scan them when i'm trying to think of gifts...though I still need more ideas! I wish I didn't always leave it so late! I mean, it's not THAT late, but I could do with more time than I've left!
