Ryan was in Boston last weekend for like 26 hours and was kind enough to rush over to Lush for me/us since we don't have one here in Austin. They were still amidst their Christmas sale, so he came home with loads of...well, crap

Me too! That's why I feel so PISSED OFF. They really throw the "Natural, Organic" etc at you to the point where you just assummmmmme. I will never assume again, swears.
i read a pretty good response to this last week when you posted about ryan getting you stuff. i was actually going to say something about parabens in their moisturizers, but then did not, because i hate being that person. :(
their solid stuff seems to be better in regards to ingredients.
it bothers me so much, i love the fragrances, but none of it is remotely good for us. seriously, just stick to rose water and orange flower water. that's what i use for good smells :)
I have been using sweet orange oil with a dash of lavender and then heavily diluted as an air freshener for about a year, and I am thinking orange oil w/ jasmine might be good for a fragrance. I am a perfume junky, trying to break the habit/replace the habit w/ something more natural.
I know rose water makes most people think of little old ladies, but the previous renters at an apartment I lived in left a bottle of it and my roommate and I added salt water to the mixture and used it as hair spray. I couldn't get over how the fragrance was decidedly not-so old-lady :)
That being said, I'm still addicted to Origin's Ginger Essence. OH DEAR GOD. If I could only smell that way always!
