Christmas gifts!

Dec 25, 2011 00:01

Abby's made a few good friends recently, and had a few in Chicago for a while. And Abby likes spoiling her friends. And Christmas is the time to give people things! Good things that may or may not be stolen!

This would explain the extravagant (and not entirely legally acquired) gifts that show up at certain places overnight on Christmas.

A 2008 Audi A4 Cabriolet convertible is left in front of Rachel Banks' driveway in the wee hours of the morning:

In the front seat, there's also a sturdy, hiker's backpack -- since they seem to keep getting pulled strange places, it seems appropriate. Inside the backpack is a small case with a collection of grooming supplies for an angel's wings, and a thick, rubber-banded collection of bookmarks, ranging from the lovely to the ridiculous.

A card is left in an envelope in the mailbox, with the keys inside and the following on the inside cover:

Maybe having your own way of getting around will keep Chicago from taking you interesting places. If not, I hope we get a few more good trips out of it.

-Abby

PS: If you don't know how to drive it, let me know. I can teach you.

Left in front of David Hansen's driveway is a 2006 Lexus GS Hybrid:

If he explores the car, he'll find a couple of pairs of dark sunglasses left in the glove box.

There's also a card left in this mailbox, keys inside the envelope and a note written on the inside:

If I can't seem to see you when I look okay, I might as well make sure you'll look good. :)

-Abby

PS: If you don't know how to drive it, let me know. I can teach you.

Living in the Kashtaa makes it a little more difficult to park the car, so Neal Caffrey's 2007 Bently Azure T is left at the garage where her brother works instead, and the address is scrawled across the inside of his card. When he gets there, he'll find this waiting for him:

When he opens the door, he'll find a very nice hat on the passenger seat, and underneath the hat, a new set of lockpicks.

The envelope with his keys and card is left with the front desk, but there's a note for him on the journals to go ask for it.

I always thought your sharp-dressed look could use a little something. Hopefully this cuts it.

-Abby

PS: If you're not busy on the thirtieth, I could use a hand with something. Interested?

Parked in front of Millie's house is a 2005 Mercedes-Benzs E55 AMG:

On the passenger's seat is a wrapped box. Inside is a mismatched collection of mugs that Abby thought she'd like.

The card and keys are found in her mailbox:

I don't know how many cups of coffee I owe you for, but maybe this will make a dent.

There's also a heart drawn underneath.

Left in front of the Crowbar is a 2005 Aston Martin DB9 for John Callahan:

Inside John's card, along with the keys, are three fifty-dollar bills, the explanation for which is found the note:

The next however many drinks that buys your customers are on me.

Hope I see you again now that Chicago's back to normal -- normal as we get, anyway. At least now I'll know to look out for the car. ;)

-Abby

Again, the car is left at her brother's garage, and the adress is scrawled inside Luna Lovegood's card. When she gets there, she'll find this 2008 Mini Cooper:

On the passenger seat is a wrapped package, inside of which is a big, fluffy, brightly blue jacket. There's also an umbrella in the backseat.

The card with the keys is left at the front desk of the Kashtaa, and a quick note is left in the journals for her to go look.

I've been hoping to see you again! Hope the rainclouds haven't been bothering you and that Chicago's been good to you.

-Abby

PS: Do you know how to drive? If not, tell me and I'll teach you.

There are also two very new minivans left in front of the Kashtaa. The card and keys for this one are adressed to Martha Jones and left in the care of the front desk, with the following unsigned message inside the car:

Hope you can get some use out of these. Merry Christmas.
