life, the universe and everything

First, i think its funny how nobody ever has anything to say (even when something is upsetting me very much) until i spark something contraverisal. Dave is right. All that I am saying, is that there is ALOT more to what church tells you than what they do. For the past three years I have been studying and looking into various religions and ( Read more... )

Have to admit, I just read every word of that.
& I think it's amazing that you can think outside of preachings and books. Okay, so the Old Testament has pieces that can be proved; doesn't any good book? A good story makes you think, because there is in some way a connection to reality. Does that make any one religious tome more viable than the next?
But I really must say, I enjoyed the comment about how the bible is a history book, so full of morals and metaphors. Funny, I always thought morals, and metaphors were ideas, not tangible pieces of history.
Anyways, I definitely have a lot of respect for you because it sounds like you're working through this all. If you ever figure it out, you're going to have to let me in on it.

for the love of all things natural christina.

for the LAST time...i did not say you werent a christian. and if you cant get over this whole 'felicia thinks she is right all of the time and so i am going to bash her and try to undermine her and make her look like an asshole' kick, than forget it.

i do NOT think i am right all of the time
i do NOT think that what i say goes
and i do NOT want to waste my time trying to talk this out.

i dont dis anyone for what they are thinking...im learning something here, something new...forgive me for trying to expand my knowledge, no wait, i dont need you to forgive me because really, im not going to actually apologize for being open minded.

eh, i wont read it

ive seeked logic, and i seeked it for a good six months to a year

it went in circles, even though it ended up sort of pointing me towards the perfect logic of the Bible.

but what it really comes down to is love, and you wont find love like some one dying for your sins.
and believe it or not, Jesus died for your sins.
but youll fight it for all your reasons. maybe you know it deep down inside and youre just trying to get attention.
maybe you dont know it, and youre pushing it away for one of a million reasons.

im just really bummed to see that you never saw any truth in me or anyone else.

toby, honey...
i know that you are really religious, and im not telling you thats wrong. but how can you sit there and tell me that im just trying to get attention?

nobody's perfect, and if i recall correctly from when we dated, how many times did you put your hands up my shirt or try to get them down my pants? when we were 15/16...and that is when you were trying to convince the whole world that sir tobias james walker was such a great example of christianity...

love is really interesting, and i know a hell of a lot about it. i dont need anyone else trying to tell me what love is. love is perfect, unconditional, and doesnt condem when there are conflicting points of view.

eh, way to stretch the truth
but thats really beside the point

i dont think i was perfect, and im not going to sit here and try to tell you that i know more about love than you.

i only decided to comment because i remembered the other day out of nowhere that we were extremely close for about 5-6 months, and then we pretty much erased each other from our memories. every time ive tried talking to you since then youve been pretty sour to me, which is understandable.

but really, it was four years ago, and im just wondering how we totally forgot each other and no longer communicate at all. im sure a large portion of it's my fault.

all im trying to say is, give me a better example of love than someone perfect being crucified for a bunch of people of no use to Him.

dont stop questioning, dont stop seeking, but really, make sure you stay honest with yourself.

and this is why the world is in shambles
and other nations are killing other nations...
religion.

and if people were more educated with other religions then people wouldn't be so closed minded. what you're doing fe is great. there's nothing wrong with questioning things.

Technically it is adaptation not evolution. I never said questioning was wrong, however in Islam you would be punished by death for your writings/questions.

Dude, not to beat on this topic more, but I just want to point out that if you check out the New Testament of the Bible, the whole thing is all about love. It's the American church, and other confused/twisted people that have skewed it into saying war is ok.

Jesus, Ghandi, Mother Theresa all hated/hate war.

And you can't just say that without 'religion' the world would be perfect, you could argue that there's been a lot more war prevented from religion than started. And there's definitely been plenty and plenty of wars that had little to do with religion.
