Cosplay
Sorry, I'm soooo late with my 30 day meme. I'll try to post it later today. But now I'll just post about something that's bothered me for a while.
I've watched two seasons of Hakuouki anime and played the DS game on computer a few times now. And now I've started to think about making a cosplay from Hakuouki. But I have a problem. I have two characters that I've been considering.
First of all:
Okita Souji
Okita Souji, one of Shinsegumi's best swords men. Makes snarky comments to pretty much every one and even threatens to cut/kill people with a snarky smile on his face. And that's pretty much why I'd love to cosplay him. I'm interested in doing the cosplay with his traditional Shinsengumi outfit, but the western outfit (picture below) to which he changes later in the series along with the other characters is also rather delicious looking so I can't decide which I'd do.
Okita looks BAMF in whatever he wears. ♥
Then there's the other character:
Saitou Hajime
Saitou Hajime is a quiet warrior who has decide it his life purpose to follow the warriors way. He has this mysterious aura around him, as he doesn't give out much about himself in the anime. But in the game if you play his route, you find out that he's easily embarrassed and extremely cute with his awkward way of showing his feelings. ♥ From him I'm also tempted to do his traditional Shinsengumi outfit, but his western clothes (picture below) look absolutely SEXY on him, so I'm torn over which one I'd do.
Also, UNF his soft and deep voice~ ♥
For both characters I'd get two sets of wigs and contacts so I can do both regular warrior versions as well as the special Rasetsu versions. Reason I've considered those two characters is because those I could actually pull off, since I'd need outfits that hide my female parts. Because my absolutely favorite character, Harada Sanosuke, that I thought of cosplaying first is perhaps a bit too manly for me to pull off.
Harada Sanosuke
Harada Sanosuke took my breath away in the game. I just TOTALLY and HOPELESSLY fell in love with him and wish I'd have a boyfriend who could cosplay him for me (I'd then do Yukimura Chizuru cosplay in that case). But for myself, he's difficult to cosplay because he show rather much of his chest in his traditional Shinsengumi outfit. Also, even if he has a sword in the picture above, he usually uses a long spear as his weapon. His western clothes would be easier to cosplay, but still, he's perhaps a bit too manly for me.
This man... UNF! Am currently playing his route the second time because I love him and he managed to make me cry with his pained face. *sadistic towards her fav characters much?*
Only thing that makes Harada easier to cosplay is that he doesn't have a Rasetsu version, so only one wig and set of contacts would be enough. Although Rasetsu versions tempt me so much that I've chosen Okita and Saitou as the two from which I'll choose my cosplay character.
But before doing Hakuouki cosplay, I'll first do Hetalia's China. ^^;
