[Akame] Deadly Mistake 2/2

Sep 04, 2006 17:48

Sorry took me long enough to post this last chapter. I really don't like this chapter that I wrote so don't kill me if it's not that good, sigh. And just close one eye if there is any grammatical mistakes alright? I'm still writing my TakkiTsuba fic, that will take a while longer coz I'm kinda stuck. Niwaez, here you go!^^

Oh ya, there's a bit of Maruda too!! XDD

~`~

He is lucky enough to survive that hit, he is out of danger for now unfortunately he is in a comatose state. Please try to talk to him whenever you can, he can hear you. Hopefully he will wake up soon.

Yes, Thank You.

Fluttering his eyes opened, he scanned his surroundings warily, trying to remember the event last night. But once he did, he jerked up from his current position, looking for any sign of injuries on his body but had found none, he was perfectly okay, and nothing had hurt at all.

“Ah Kame, you’re awake.” A voice suddenly greeted him out of nowhere, and he immediately turned to the direction of that one voice in this quiet and lone room, just to see Nakamaru looking at him in concern.

“Jin! Jin, I’ve got to see him!! Maru, take me to him!” Kame pleaded almost instantly when he remembered clearly the event that happened last night, the information finally sinking in, that Jin was the one who had gotten hurt and not him.

But his friend looked at him with such sad eyes that make Kame think of the worse but he immediately shook off that thought, praying that Jin would be strong enough to hold on this obstacle, he need not need anyone’s else support, because Jin is strong on his own.

“Kame, I can’t take you to him. Don’t ask me why but I just can’t.”

He fell silent the moment he heard those words, his worst nightmare came to live. “That couldn’t be. Don’t tell me… that Jin… is dead? That’s not true.” Kame whispered, as he lunged himself to his friend, shaking gently before turning slightly aggressive, begging for his question to be answered.

“What? Kame...”

“It’s not true!! You’re lying! Jin is not dead!! He loves me. He cannot leave me!! You’re…” He couldn’t complete his sentence, as he passed out as a result of extreme exhaustion, his whole weight on Maru’s.

“Idiot, you didn’t even let me finish my sentence. Well you should get some rest before seeing that Bakanishi.” Maru smiled as he carried the small boy to his bed, grinning widely as he walked out of the room.

~`~

“How is he?” Maru asked, giving the man a cup of coffee as he settled himself beside him, taking a sip out of his own cup.

“Still the same, not woken up yet. Kame?”

“Well he did woke up but went back to sleep soon after that.” He replied, that grin of his appearing yet once again.

“Sleep? Wouldn’t he ask for Jin first? That’s weird.” Ueda stated, eyeing his boyfriend curiously.

“Why are you looking at me that way? Honey, I know I’m handsome, that you couldn’t resist giving me looks but you don’t have to...” a hand immediately smacked his head, making him cry in pain, massaging his head gently.

“You deserve that.” Ueda whispered, as he finished up his drink, getting up of the seat, throwing the cup to the nearest trash bin before continuing walking.

“Ueda! Where are you going? I’m following!”

“You! Sit and behave properly! I’m going to check on Kame now. You take care of Jin in case he wakes up. And don’t follow me.” He ordered, pointing his finger, motioning for Maru to enter the room, not moving once until he did as told.

“You’re so bad, Ueda.” He sighed and did as instructed.

~`~

“Ueda. Is it true?” a voice suddenly lighten up the quiet room, startling him out for a moment, but he immediately rush to his friend’s side as soon as he noticed the scene in front of him.

“Kame! Are you alright? You’re feeling okay, right?” he asked worriedly, looking at him for any sign of injuries but had found none.

“Is it true?” the young man persists on asking, his voice croaked with endless emotions, his eyes filled with sadness.

“What is true? I don’t get what you’re trying to say.”

“Why are you all hiding it from me? Jin is dead, why don’t you tell me that straight to my face?!! Why? Stop lying!!” Kame screamed, crying hysterically.

“Kame, who told you that? Maru?”

Kame remained silent, too engrossed in his tears to respond to anything else. The younger boy looked so shaken up, curling his body to a ball, his blankets covering his body, as tears never leaving his face.
What the hell did you say to him, Maru? I am so going to kill you later.

“Kame, listen up. Jin survived the hit, and I’m going to take you to him. He needs you right now.” Ueda coaxed the younger boy, hoping that he would stop crying, just hearing his friend’s sobs made him feel so sad. He didn’t know what the reason was but he knew those two had fought, he could easily tell, it was that obvious. Hopefully this incident will bring them closer, realizing each other’s importance more.

“Really? You’re not lying?”

Ueda gave a reassuring smile, patting his shoulders gently, “I won’t joke on the matter of life and death, Kame. You of all people should know. Let’s go.”

“Yes!!”

~`~

“Jin, wake up. I’m here. Jin…” Kame pouted when the latter refused to listen to his pleas, sighing silently, he rested his head on the bed, facing his lover, and flashed out a smile. “Just wake up soon, Jin. I’ll be here.” He was about to drift off to sleep when he felt someone stirring, waking him up instantly.

“Jin!!” Kame jolted up from his position excitedly as he looked up to see his lover fully awake, holding his hands firmly.

“Kame, I’m sorry.” Jin whispered weakly, he barely had any strength left as he looked up at the man in front, hoping that he would understand the message he wanted to convey.

“Jin, what are you apologizing for? You’ve done nothing wrong. You... ” all the images of that night came back, forcing him to remember that fateful event, causing him to feel all the hurt all over again.

“Yes, I understand. We’re over, you don’t have to tell me that. I’m just a trash to you anyway. It really does not matter anymore.” He felt too much hurt, overwhelming emotions as he dropped down to the floor, feeling ever so dejected.

Jin looked at the younger man helplessly, it hurts to see him like this, and after all it was all his fault to start with. He had been too jealous seeing Kame draping his arms around someone else’s waist when it should have been him, him alone! He made first judgment seeing that scene when he should have asked his lover for some confirmation. It was his fault that both had ended up hurting.

“Kazu-chan, I really didn’t mean to hurt you, it was all a misunderstanding. It was my fault for not trusting you, please forgive me.” Jin struggled to say in his very weak condition, forcing himself to move closer to Kame, trying to reach out to him but soon found himself crying in pain, his back hurting like hell.

Kame was by his side almost instantly, flashing out a look of worry on his face, “Jin! Are you alright? Do you need me to call the doctor?”

Jin shook his head as he bit his lip, trying to tolerate the pain, it would soon be gone for Kame is more important than the pain he is feeling right now. “I understand if we could not turn back time, even if it hurts, I’ll accept your decision. I just want you to know that I’m really sorry, and that I will always love you, Kazuya.”

But deep inside, he hoped that Kazuya would oppose to everything that he had just said, saying that he understands, that all was nothing but a big misunderstanding, that it was not worth breaking their precious relationship after all the struggles that they had gone through to just to get here. He hoped, nervously looking at the man in front of him, it was too painful to let him go.

He bit his lips anxiously as he saw those lips move, forming a sentence he couldn’t very well hear. Jin didn’t know why but he had started to feel dizzy all of a sudden, his vision became more blurry as he forced himself to stay awake but couldn’t, the pain that was gone suddenly come back.

“Jin? Jin, are you alright?” Kame stuttered worriedly, alarmed at the sudden state his lover is in now, with Jin gasping for breathe, clutching to his waist painfully, hoping that it would go away soon.

“Kazu… ya, I love you.”

~`~

“Noooo!!!!! Jin, don’t leave me. Don’t leave.” He whispered in his sobs, suddenly wondering why it was so dark here.

“Kame-chan? Good, you’re awake.”

Kame turned to the direction of the voice slowly, his eyes glistening with tears, “Tell me all that was just a dream. It was only a dream.”

Ueda raised his eyebrow in confusion, not having a clue what his friend is talking about, “You’re talking about Jin? He is still in a bad state, but his condition is stable now, thank god for that. He passed the critical stage, we thought we had lost him.”

“Ueda, I had a dream just now. He… he said goodbye to me. It feels too real. I don’t want to lose him. I don’t want to have to let go of him. I need him so much. I love him.”

“Then let me tell you this, the reason why he is fighting for his life right now is you, Kame. He feels the same way too, he is not going to give up without a fight. You’re the reason he is alive. And hopefully you can bring those eyes back to life again.” Ueda gave a reassuring smile as he patted his friend gently on the shoulder.

I definitely will.

~`~

A month had passed, with Kame visiting his lover every day, talking to him like he’d always do, he knew Jin could hear every word he said. Sitting on the edge of the bed, he soon finds himself lying beside his beloved, sliding his arms around the built waist, snuggling closer.

Jin, please wake up soon.

At that moment, he felt a weight resting on his waist, Kame looked up to see his Jin smiling brightly at him, the smile that of endearing happiness.

“Jin, you came back. You’ve finally… after all that. You’re back.” He softly whispered as he glanced intently at the lovely eyes, he felt loved as Jin’s hands touch his face, brushing it ever so gently, his eyes never leaving his beloved for once.

“Kazuya, I’ll always find myself back to you, you were the key to my darkness, your strength, your encouragement. You’ve made me possible to cross the bridge to this world that we lived in, you brought me back.”

Kame smiled as he struggled to hold back his tears, he didn’t want to spoil this perfect moment, finally having Jin back in his life. “Jin, I missed you.” He said, snuggling even closer to him, breathing in his scent.

“I missed you too.”

All is forgotten at that moment. Nothing matters as two souls in love are being reunited, holding each other as if their life depended on that one hold, never ever wanting to let go.

Author's Note: As I said, I really don't like this last chapter that I wrote. I don't even know why. I think it's not good enough to be posted here. But oh well, I can't think of any other way. I've made you wait long enough, really sorry about that. ^^ And yesss, still writing my T&T fic, hoping it would be posted soon. Nowadays, I don't have the mood to write. Sigh, is there even a cure for that? But I'll try my best to complete the chapter by this week! XDD
