Uchi took a glance at his watch, 2.30pm and still his lover was not at sight.
“Idiot Ryo, what took him so long?” he murmured in total annoyance as he once again for the countless time took a look at the time.
“Someone is saying bad things about me.”
Turning around, Uchi saw Ryo walking briskly towards him, adding to his anger.
“Ryo, what is the time now? And you still have the cheek to walk slowly?” Uchi fumed, crossing his arms furiously.
“Sorry, sweetheart for being late.” He tried to look apologetic though he knew-
“I don’t want your apology, Ryo! I waited for an hour. What were you doing anyway?”
Ryo fell into silence, not wanting to answer the question at the moment, he would have slipped his surprise.
“I’m here now. Let’s go get the tickets. I’ll pay.” He was about to walk towards the ticketing counter when Uchi showed the tickets in his face.
“You were late. So I bought them first.” Uchi pouted as he handed Ryo the tickets, signaling him to take care of it.
Nodding, “Thanks, this must have cost a lot, buying two tickets- I’m touched, Uchi dear.”
“You’re paying for dinner.” Uchi simply said as he walked away, heading towards the entrance.
“Hey, wait for me!”

Handing the tickets quickly, Ryo ran to catch up with the taller one, pulling his hand when he finally did.
“Why did you walk so fast for? I should be the one leading, you know.” He complained, like a child would to a mother.
Grinning, “Oh, why is that so? Give me one good reason, Ryo.”
“I’m the Sexy Osaka man! I’m the man, Uchi. Don’t you understand?” Ryo proudly said, trying so hard to emphasize the main point.
“What you’re trying to say is that- you’re the man in our relationship. Sexy Osaka man, whatever. So since you’re the man, that means I’m the woman. Is that your theory, Dr Nishikido?”
Nodding his head, Ryo smiled like a fool.
“But Ryo-”
The smile still plastered on his face, but he was starting to feel uncomfortable when Uchi suddenly came closer, closing the gap between them.
“Hmm Uchi-”
Smirking, Uchi softly whispered to his lover’s ears, “But Ryo, I wonder why the man is shorter than the woman. Isn’t that weird?”
Ryo just kept quiet, sometimes it is too difficult to fight the princess words.
“Let’s go in.” Uchi gave a small smile, before leaving Ryo once again, entering the aquarium alone.
“Did he just say that I’m the woman? Uchi!!”

“Look at that! Aren’t they just beautiful?” Uchi said in awe, pointing towards the various fishes in the aquarium.
“I think my boyfriend is much more beautiful. Thank you very much.”
“Don’t bother about him, you cute fishes. Ryo forever will be so mean. He is always like that. So don’t mind him, okay?” Uchi talked sweetly, poking his finger at the clear glass.
“Hey, who is being mean here? I just said that you’re beautiful! I’m just trying to be nice.” Ryo rolled his eyes, his words a mixture of sarcasm.
Ignoring the latter’s words, Uchi moved forward, mesmerized at the beauty of nature in front of him.
“Great. Now I’m talking alone like a crazy mad man.”
That brought laughter to Uchi, finally giving the attention to his annoying lover.
“Glad you know that. All that arguing made me hungry. Let’s have a bite.” Uchi declared, holding Ryo’s hand.
“You sure know how to soften me, huh?”
Smiling brightly, Uchi gave an enthusiastic nod. Sometimes it is a pain going on a date with Ryo, with that sharp tongue of his. But he got used to it already, because just being with him is enough to make him happy.
“Let’s go! Ryo, you’re paying!”

“Uchi, wait. Where are we going? Isn’t this the exit?” Ryo stopped suddenly, crashing onto Uchi’s back.
“Gomen.”
Raising his eyebrows, “We’re going out to eat, remember? Are you really okay, Ryo?”
“I-I know that! But we don’t have to go out to eat! I mean- you paid for the tickets yet we only stayed for half an hour! That is wasting, Uchi.”
“They don’t sell food here. Well only snacks. We’ve been here many times- don’t you ever pay attention to that, Ryo?”
“Oh-”
“I really want to see those fishes. But I’m so hungry right now! I didn’t eat anything before I left, thinking you would be here early.”
“Well I have-” Ryo spoke rather hesitantly as he fiddle with his bag nervously.
“What do you have in there? Let me see!” Uchi exclaimed excitedly, fumbling through the contents of the bag, taking out a white box.
“Ryo, this is-” looking down at the packed takoyaki, bought from his favorite stall.
Scratching his head nervously, he replied, “Well you said you had a craving for it on the phone. So I thought I’d buy it for us.”
“So that is why you were late, right?” Uchi felt so touched at his lover’s thoughtful action that a single tear dropped freely.
“Hey, why are you crying-?”
“Arigato, Ryo.” Uchi murmured placing his arms on the latter’s shoulder, giving his lover a smile of love.

“Hmm, that was delicious!” referring to the finished takoyaki they had.
Ryo just smiled looking at Uchi’s happy reaction, he was glad he could bring some cheerfulness in his lover, not that he is not happy but- it really was a wonderful feeling.
“Ryo, actually-”
“Yes?”
“I don’t really mind being the girl, to be able to have someone to protect me, caring for me endlessly, loving me like no other would is really good enough. I’m so fortunate to have you in my life.”
Uchi bite his lips, he didn’t know why he was feeling so emotional suddenly.
“Hey, don’t. This is our happy day so no tears alright? It doesn’t matter who is the man or the woman, as long as we have each other. Okay?”
“Hmm.”
Uchi smiled, placing his head on Ryo’s shoulders. He felt so much happiness, and Ryo is that happiness.

“Ryo.”
“Yes, dear?”
“I love you.” Placing a quick kiss on his lover’s cheeks.
Grabbing Uchi’s hands, holding it firmly, Ryo declared, “You’re only mine, Uchi Hiroki.”
That was Ryo’s way of declaring the three precious words, it was different but Uchi knew. Deep down, he wished to hear those words himself but this is Ryo, he would never say-
“You don’t have to worry. I will always love you. You own my heart.” Ryo voiced out after a moment of silence, placing Uchi’s hand to his heart.
Uchi could not have been happier. Every date of theirs is meaningful and special, and Ryo brings his happiness.
Ryo is, and forever will be his happiness. His shining star.
