Nakamaru entered the bedroom, glancing at the sound asleep Kame for a moment before turning his gaze to the closet near Kame's bed; as quiet as he could Nakamaru begin picking clothes randomly and into the bag he found earlier with Ueda looking at his every movements intently, thinking whether this would be a good idea after all. Ueda who was still deciding on that, in his mind he was thinking of all possible answers there will be if they decide to go on with the plan.
“Are you sure about this, Maru? You seem pretty confident about this plan of yours. Even I’m surprised that you had this fierce determination all over you when you told me about it just now.” Ueda whispered, looking at him worriedly. Nakamaru who was packing in a fast pace, he did not bother to fold the clothes but he stuff it in the bag, not bothering to look up at Ueda when he asked him a question.
“Don’t worry about it, Ueda. I know what I’m doing.” Nakamaru replied, stealing a gaze at the sleeping Kame once again; Kame's figure look so thin and weak...he felt the sadness in his heart, he really need to do something to bring those two back together even if it means Kame had to find out the truth about Jin’s current condition. It is only for the best, or so he hoped.
'Let nature takes its own course,' Nakamaru thought to himself as he sighed. Nakamaru shut his train of thoughts off he went back to his job of packing Kame’s clothes, realizing with him stuffing the clothes in the bag there will not be even space. Nakamaru took it all out again folding them neatly into the bag, putting in a pair or two of jeans. He can wash them later there.
“I’m done packing!” Nakamaru smiled he too was trying to cheer himself up, looking at the amused Ueda who since just now had been watching him, “Ueda, can you wake Kame up? We need to get going now. Traveling to Kyoto would be a very long journey.” Nakamaru held onto the bag of clothes ready to bring it down to the car.
Nakamaru took a glance at his wrist watch - 11.30 pm. It would definitely take them more than 2 hours to reach Kyoto by car but it probably would not be bad to speed up a bit in the wee mornings, the roads would be pretty lonely. Noticing that Ueda had not moved one inch from his original position, Nakamaru decided to wake Kame up himself.
“Hmm... Nakamaru. Kame would not wake up until a couple of hours later. It’s no use if you wake him up now.” Ueda said anxiously continuing to stare at Nakamaru.
Cringed his eyebrows, Nakamaru pressed on further “Why is that?” He asked Ueda looking up at him from Kame.
“Well Kame still refused to go to bed after several pleadings so I placed one sleeping pill in his drink. He really needed the rest badly. And look at him now. He is sleeping so soundly, right? It’s been a long time since he looked so peaceful in his sleep.” Ueda explained honestly, he is just not the type to tell lies. It was not a big issue, he just wanted Kame to have some rest.... or perhaps this is a peaceful way to take Kame to Kyoto. Ueda was not sure either Kame would not go to Kyoto and wait for Jin here.
Nakamaru’s expression changed suddenly, that of surprised yet amused look he put on his face as he excitedly exclaimed, “Ueda! That is brilliant of you! You actually thought of that. Now why didn’t I think of that before?” Nakamaru teased Ueda laughing at the man playfully as the mood lighten up a bit in the darken room.
Pouting Ueda replied back, “Is that a praise or a mocking, Nakamaru?”
“Can’t you tell? Okay, let’s go.” Nakamaru simply said, as he handed Ueda the bag. “I just need to carry Kame.” Nakamaru headed towards the bed, sliding one arm on the younger one’s legs and the other on his shoulders, as expected Kame did not move a bit caused by the after effect of the sleeping pill. Nakamaru was amaze that Kame is now lighter than he was months ago when Nakamaru had picked the younger man up. Kame did not need to lose anymore weight. He might break anything, so it feels like it.
“You’re still going? But without Kame’s concession-” Ueda said, he was now switching his decision. The whole plan was base on Kame whether he wanted to go or not and not the two of them to kidnap Kame and leave him at Kyoto.
Nakamaru smiled. “That is why you made my job easier, Ueda. If not for you, it would have been even harder to ask him to get out of his house.” Nakamaru held tightly the light weight as he headed towards the main door.
That’s right. Knowing Kame, he would not even step out of the house. And since he is so intelligent, it would just take him a few seconds to notice that Nakamaru seemed so suspicious enough.
This is just nice.

“I’m following. It’s my off day tomorrow anyway.” Nakamaru was about to protest when he saw the glare Ueda gave, the ‘If you don’t listen to me, I am so going to kill you’ look. And so he placed Kame on the backseat, fastening the seatbelt on him letting the younger man rest.
Ueda placed the bag on the boot of the car then he immediately opened the front passenger seat, making himself comfortable for the long drive waiting for him ahead.
“Don’t you have to do something?” Nakamaru asked suddenly causing the latter to look at him puzzled.
“Ueda. Don’t you at least need to tell Junno where we are going? He will get worried, you know.”
He blushed. Why does Nakamaru have to ask this of all questions he could ask? It’s not as if he is going out with Junno, it’s in fact far from that. We’re just good buddies!
Keeping a straight face, Ueda emphasized “Junno and Koki still don’t know about this, right? We will tell them this when we get back. And that is that.”
Ueda simply said.

Turning into a narrow, secluded area, Nakamaru scanned the dark area in front of him. The house indeed looked like the one Reo sent him but still he was not too sure about being at the correct place, he stopped the car to take a quick look outside, just to be sure.
“Is this the one?” Nakamaru thought to himself as he looked at the place in the dark. This is not much help, if he knew they arrive late in the night he would have brought a flashlight or something.
“Nakamaru-kun.” Nakamaru turned to face a stranger that looked so much like- Akanishi Jin, just that this younger guy looked more like a Korean heart throb. “It’s Akanishi Reo. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Reo reached for Nakamaru's hand in the dark to shake as he bowed at the older man.
“Reo? What time is it now? Oh- it’s nearly 2.30 am. What? 2.30am! You’re allowed to go out early mornings, Reo? I’m sorry if this imposes on you a lot, going out this late.” Nakamaru returned the bow back to Reo.
Reo chuckled amuse by Nakamaru's care-ness towards everyone even if he had not known him. “Of course I’m not allowed to. I sneaked out of the house. But don’t worry, my parents are very understanding. And oni-chan, well at this time he is sound asleep. So don’t worry, Nakamaru-kun. I’m glad you came this early though.” Reo nodded as he smiled sweetly at Nakamaru assuring him that he would not be in trouble.
“And besides, I need to give you the key. Or else you couldn’t get in.” Reo smiled again, handing the key to him. Reo's smile is exactly like Jin's, but Jin's smile is much bigger and more playful than Reo. His smile is calm and caring.
“This house is quite big. How did you manage to find this house?” Nakamaru asked in awe taking his eyes off of Jin's younger brother. Looking at him makes him think of Jin and he did not like that fact. For if he would see Jin, he would like that Bakanishi to eat his fist then they could sit down and talk like normal human beings.
“Well the owner is away on vacation and since I had it planned, I asked the family if they could rent it for the time being. I wasn’t really comfortable when they said I could rent it for free but they’re nice people, I couldn’t possibly reject their offer. So that’s the story.” Reo kept on smiling, recalling the sweet moments he spent with this nice family.
Reo smile grew when he noticed two sleeping figures inside the car, mission nearly to accomplishment. He hoped this would turn out successful in the end. He hopes his oni-chan and Kamenashi-kun could be happy together as destiny had happened until oni-chan decided to take another path, “I better get going. I don’t want my family to find out that I’ve been out. If you need anything, just contact me." Reo turned heading for the opposite direction from the house.
“Hmm! I know. Thank you, Reo.”
"JA NE." Reo said shortly as he turned slightly waving at Nakamaru and soon his back disappeared into the darkness.

“Are you crazy? You’re leaving Kame here all alone? This is Kyoto, far away from Tokyo. Kame isn’t used to this place. You expect him to-” Ueda exploded nearly yelling at Nakamaru who was calm and collected.
Sighing Nakamaru looked at Ueda explaining his reasonings, “Ueda, he is already twenty years old. He knows how to take care of himself. Besides we couldn’t possibly meddle in everything, let them settle it for themselves. I just want to let nature takes its own course. If we keep forcing, it would not be good as well. Am I right?”
“I hate it when you’re right. Let’s go then.” Ueda pouted grabbing his jacket, he headed out the door before Nakamaru could get up, he was worried... very worried. What if things don't turn out the way it was plan to happen?
And Kame is alone...
By himself...
Nakamaru sat with his laptop, he wanted to make Ueda wait in the car for a few minutes while he sent Reo an email.
Reo, we’re leaving. Please take care of Kame for us. He is the one that is having a two weeks holiday. We still have jobs waiting for us back in Tokyo. So please take good care of him.
Message sent~
Nakamaru shut his computer, taking one last look at Kame who was still sleeping very soundly. He smiled, "Take care, Kame. Bring Jin home to us.” With that few words being said in the silent Nakamaru headed out the door, remembering to lock it behind him.
---- ` ----
His eyes fluttered open, slowly and steadily with a weak light entering his eyes. His attention kept fixed on the ceiling for a moment until he realized that it seemed so different... Everything seems different, he didn’t remember having a ceiling this high. This is really weird. In fact everything here kind of feels different, the atmosphere is more clean and fresher, this is so much better, he thought.
He shot up in total shock as he realized that he was indeed in a different and unfamiliar place, this was indeed not his house! Kame scanned the room with his eyes carefully as he whispered softly, “Where am I? And how the hell did I get here?” His head hurts and he was not sure or not it hurts, but he shook it off.
Getting up from the bed, Kame walked towards the dressing board with his arms wrapped around himself protectively, he was really scared and afraid at this point of time, being alone in a complete new place that he didn’t even remember coming to! How could that be possible?
'I really have bad memories.' Kame frown, perhaps he came here but he did not remember. The same when he can't remember why Jin left and what exactly had happened.
Taking a last glance on the mirror, Kame started to move away when he noticed an envelope placed neatly on the table. It had his name written on it - To Kame. “What is this?” Kame picked up the letter and took out its content. “A letter?” he said his eyes wide when he read it’s content.
“Nakamaru! What am I going to do with the two weeks holiday?” Kame sighed in response as he looked at the beautiful scenery from within the clear glass window.
“Guess I need the break. It wouldn’t be that bad as it seems.” Kame smiled weakly, Nakamaru always want the best for him. He must have gone out of his way with Johnny to get his break for him. For that, Kame thanked him silently.
---- ` ----
Kame walked out of the house welcoming himself to the warmth of the beaming sun as he stretched his arms widely out openly, breathing in the clean air, he had never felt this fresh living in the city. This place, somehow it seems so peaceful - it would be the perfect place to make a home.
“A home without Jin.” Kame bites his lips, he tried to suppress his sad feelings aside, and he wouldn’t want a great morning to be spoiled because of that. Because of his mindless thought, all of the member's effort to get this break for him could go to waste.
Kame felt his pockets, making sure that he had brought along his wallet and cell phone, “Good, it’s there.” He locked the door, and down the steps as he walked to an unknowing destination.
---- ` ----
Akanishi Jin smiled, admiring the greeneries as he did his morning walk, just that he could only travel with that wheelchair of his, indeed his traveling was limited. There were just certain things that he could not do being a handicapped, sometimes it frustrates him even. But he wasn’t going to waste his time cooping in his room all day long. That would be so meaningless, watching as time passes by, the clock ticking away every second.
Time is precious.
“I’m thirsty.” His eyes focused on the shop in front of him, both of his hands touching the door’s handle, trying to push himself in, little actions he normally do is now with much difficulty. “I’m so pathetic.” He thought when he still could not get in successfully and was about to just walk away when a single hand pushed the door open for him.
“Oni-chan, you should tell us when you want to go out. Mom flipped out when she found out you weren’t at home. It’s better if you have someone to accompany you.” Jin looked up to see his brother standing next to him, so it was him who helped him with the door. Reo stood smiling at his brother.
“I just want to be alone, or try being independent. But it seems that I will always need peoples’ help. How pathetic am I?” Jin muttered, as he watched his brother getting the drinks for them.
At the same moment, a young guy passed by that shop looking straight ahead not bothering to look at the shop, he did not notice their presence and so he missed.
One opportunity of a lifetime missed.
Jin looked out of the glass frame, he felt his presence - his Kame, but it wouldn’t be possible. For there was no Kame in sight, it was just his wishful thinking. He was just missing him so much to have these weird feelings inside of him.
Perhaps- Just perhaps Kame is better off without him. He had always been so independent. Whether he is there or not, it doesn’t matter. Kame is one independent guy and he could do without him by his side.
Or so he thought.
Jin did not know how much he was hurting Kame to the extreme level, so much that it hurts him every time he thinks of him. Yes, Jin was oblivious to the pain he himself brought upon his beloved.
He stared at the glass frame for a moment before Reo interrupted and asked him, “What are you looking at? You seem to be in a daze, oni-chan.” His younger brother looked at the direction he was captivated at, seeing nothing interesting that could catch one attention like it did for his brother.
“Nothing. Just go and pay for those drinks, Reo. I’m thirsty.” Jin immediately looked away, wheeling himself to the counter.
Ignoring his brother’s words, Reo kept staring at the glass frame, finally understanding why Jin had been so out of space just now.
He must have felt it.
The presence of Kazuya-kun.
Their love is so strong.
“Reo! Come on!” Jin's voice brought him out of his train of thoughts as he walked up to the counter with a bright smile on his face.
They will meet.
