Sorry, it's just if I had a choice I'd rather this thing not be shown through the whole population of Somarium. [sigh]

[Ever since he'd fallen into his sleep coma, Dagger had spent a lot of her time in his room when she wasn't taking care of things that were absolutely necessary.

Over the past few days, she had taken to sleeping in his room, mostly on a chair she had dragged in from the living room. However, this evening, she had crawled onto the bed beside him, resting next to him in vain hopes that some contact might wake him.

She was sleeping when he woke up, and his voice shakes her from her own dreams. Disturbed by how he sounds, she sits up quickly, worried that he's hurt somehow. When she sees him shaking, she reaches for him, going to rest a hand on his arm.]

Zidane? What is it, what's wrong? [Her own dreamberry is resting on the table, glowing with the images from his nightmare that she hasn't yet seen.]

[he hadn't noticed Dagger at first, but when he heard her voice, he instantly whirled around to see her. for a brief moment, all he could see was that image from the dream]

[but when he closed his eyes and looked more clearly, he could see that no, it wasn't true. it wasn't real. it had all been a really, really, crappy nightmare.

not wanting to panic her even more (and not tell her about the nightmare since that wasn't exactly something she needed to know or see), he just gave her a loose grin]

What? Oh, haha, nothing...! Just... a bad dream.

...What are you doing on my bed?

[Dagger is studying his face carefully. It had to be some bad dream in order to cause him to wake up like that. She frowns.

He won't deter her curiosity for long, but she'll answer his question first.]

I was... waiting for you to wake up.

[Zidane isn't going to get much out of Kuja other than a hmph. As pleased as he is to see that Zidane is living the role he so despises, he also hates the idea of Zidane being a new angel of death - essentially, a replacement for Kuja.]

[he thought he heard a really strange sound coming from his Dreamberry. but when he picked it up and saw that it was a certain someone leaving a response, he grimaced. other than Dagger, Kuja was the last person he wanted to see this. not because it would make the other gloat about his possible "dark role", but it might trigger him to do something. he hadn't forgotten about what Garland had told him, or the events that happened on Terra once he snapped. that was the last thing he wanted.

but he'll just be talking in a dry voice and hopefully avoid that.]
