Spring Purging

My mom hasn't been well lately, so instead of leaving in her in Niagara Falls alone for a couple of nights a week, I've been bringing her with me to my Toronto apartment whenever I have to be in the office. One of the couches in my living room is a sofa bed, so she's been sleeping on that. She didn't want to sleep in my bedroom because my mattress

Congratulations! What an accomplishment!

I have a room like that in my house. kip_w came over years ago and was an enormous help bringing some semblance of order to the fan room, but what it really needs is a purge similar to the one you did this past weekend. I also have plans for the half of the garage that normally gets cleared out once/year, but hasn't in three now. Then there's the task of finding places for the stuff I'm bringing from my Dad's house....

Before reading this post, I read about the knee injury brought on by Saturday's work. I'm glad it looks to be on the mend!

That must be a wonderful feeling. We did some of that in the basement last year but most of it has to at least be sorted by me and I really have not had much time. Also, lots of stuff that belongs to Megen upstairs. She went through a lot of clothing in the fall in time for chilicon (which I think is 9-15 by the way) so I hope she can do the same this year.

Glad you are working something out with your Mom. I remember how hard that was. Please give her our love.

That's wonderful! Getting something like that done is a Great feeling. Anne is in the final throes of getting everything out of her house and into mine. Moving day is Sunday. I'm still trying to create enough space so a storage unit isn't needed, but the chances I'll succeed are slim.
