I have one single Sunday to combine Portland and Salem. A tall order, but who knows? Maybe I could squeeze a bit extra between wedding stuff.
Portland
Best of Portland Walking Tour: "You’ll be smiling and laughing as you hear about early and modern Portland as you experience an enlightened city rich with artwork, parks, bridges, fountains, countless coffee shops, brewpubs, and friendly people." 2 1/2 hour tour. Want to do, but I can't find a price. Might wanna convince family to do a group tour, and get Mom to pay! That would be very yay.
Oregon Brewers Festival. Its very last day! But how would I explain the beer breath to my mother...
Powell's Books. Of course I gotta drop by the bookstore of the Northwest...
Salem
Go tax-free shopping at
Woodburn. I could buy walking shoes there, instead of buying them here. But outlet shopping is always a full day excursion, so probably not.
Willamette Queen Sternwheeler: "Enjoy a relaxing cruise while you dine and learn about Oregon history of the Willamette River." One Hour Excursion Cruise on Sunday 3:30 PM at $12 per person. I'd have loved to do a lunch, but lunch only available from Tuesdays to Saturdays. As Sunday brunch is $48, I have no desire to do that...
Sounds doable, to squeeze all these things in one day. Depends on timing of the walking tour la.
