So I'm sitting in the new office, making what will be my final entry from Iraq, and my last entry to this journal. Tomorrow, early in the morning, I will head to Jordan, starting my 40+ hour journey back home. Wish me luck. :)

G'night everyone. You've been a lovely audience. Please remember to tip your fabulous wait staff, they work very hard

Hooray! I'm glad your winging your way back to SLO- hope to see you all in one piece at the party!

Also- if you need a place to stay, we've got an empty studio?

I *really* enjoyed your trip-work-log. I almost was posted to Iraq, but my job got cancelled by the CPA about 5 days before I was to leave. Until that point, I'd been following many blogs, one of which was yours.

I don't blame you at all for leaving, and the armchair critics aren't to be given the time of day. Moving to a new country is hard, and that goes double for developing country, and quintiple for one at war. I've done the first two - and lived abroad for over a decade - and it isn't easy, even in Europe. The armchair critic probably hasn't done much in his life, and who the heck is he to write you that bs?

Its got more dangerous over there the past month, and all things considered, perhaps you literally dodged a bullet.

Life is short. Live it well. Say hi to the California coastline for me.
