Well I got home with my copy and started reading about 10:30 last night, finished at 5:30 today.
not reading from 3:30am to 9:30am
I thought it very good. The right amount of loss to make it feel real and substantial, and the right about of joy too.
Spoiler thoughts behind cut
Right off the bat the action starts out. Harry in Danger and a plan betrayed. Mad Eye gone, A twin no more a twin. A great beggining!
Creature coming around to like Harry, Ron, and even Hermione.
Dobby buying the farm in a blaze of glory. ( a little emotional )
Snape buying it from Voldemort.
Learning ,as I had hoped, that Snape was loyal all along having to make play at being the most horrible wicked person to protect Hogwarts and Harry. (a little more emotional)
Percy coming back ( as we knew he would )
Fred buying it (had a feeling a twin would get it, but still why couldn't Percy come back and pay for his foolishness with his life)
Lupin and Tonks leaving behind an orphan son! (Mother fucker, motherfucker, motherfucker, motherfucker!!)
(to be fair, people had to die for it to be real)
Harry Offering himself up for the sacrifice to take out Voldemort. No real hesitation. (Whole Shit load of emotion)
Hurray for the Malfoys helping in their own little way to bring down Voldemort (lieing about Harry being dead)
Hurray for Mrs Weasley taking out Bellatrix ('Not my children you BITCH')
I love that Voldemort... killed Voldemort! Harry's hands are clean. He even trys to warn Voldemort of what his afterlife is going to be.
Of course, Harry and Ginny have a bushel of Kids, or course Hermi and Ron have a kid. I think that Sirius Severus Potter would have been more fitting. But I love harry's explanation about his son's two names and the fact that a house doesn't make you a bad wizard. Overall I like the 19 year skip, it made me really feel that Harry has had a quiet life sence the battle.
Great wrap up and end to the whole series
