i have a "kitten" who has been with me "temporarily" for 18 years. your cheri reminds me of her - burrowing under the covers, then popping her head out to sleep in the crook of my arm. resting her head in my open hand to go to sleep. curling up on my pillow - which i'm quite sure she thinks is hers.

thanks to a routine check-up, miss kitterington was diagnosed with kidney failure in july. she is currently doing well, but i worry about her every single day. she's been with me nearly half my life and i can't imagine life without her.

i am so sorry for your loss. i will say a special prayer tonight for you and for cheri.

Thank you for sharing. :~) Please don't forget Ginger, whom I know misses Cheri terribly. And, you are so right to do routine check ups. One thing I have certainly learned is to physically check a female cat's breasts. I never would have imagined this before.

Thank you, Lena. I think adopting a homeless kitty in Cheri's memory will certainly help in that regards. And, of course, you do have my warm (((SoulHugs))) vibing out towards you. :~)
