I am having a really hard time in Professor Snape's potions class, as usual. I recieved another F. I worked really hard on the assignment too. I am surprised I got into this class at all. I didn't think I was going to pass last year. I was having a hard enough time in Herbology ( Read more... )

I may not know as much as Professor Snape does but if you need help I could try and help. I did all right in my Potions NEWT, better in the DADA one.

Miss Abbott, I suggest you either invest in a pair of spectacles or take a little more care with your returned homework scrolls. I marked you at an 'E'. Not an 'F'.

In case, after five long years at this school you are still having difficulty with the marking system, let me refresh your memory.

O: outstanding;

E: exceeds expectations;

A: acceptable;

P: poor;

D: dreadful.

Given the people you seem to be canvassing for help, I doubt your work will continue at this improved level. Perhaps I will find it necessary to invent a grade that begins with 'F' to accommodate you.

How does 'Failure' sound?
