The lights dim and suddenly a voice calls out…
“Cut! That’s a wrap everyone! Thanks so much for all of your hard work on this project. Arashi minna-san thanks so much. Anne-san, Tim-san and Li-san thank you all for your hard work. We’ve finally finished everyone!”
Clapping was heard from all over the set and Anne could feel her face flushing. She bowed to the staff and her co-stars before running back to her dressing room. She had just finished filming her first movie in her new home. She had moved to Japan with the intentions of continuing her studies but fate had other plans. Before she knew it she was taken off the stage and placed in a movie with all of the members of the top idol group in Japan. Thankfully she was able to convince her two best friends to take part of the filming as well. Once she was in the dressing room she collapsed on the couch. A few minutes later the door opened and people entered. One sat by her head while the other simply made her move her legs. Without looking she lifted her legs and then draped them across whoever sat there. Things were quiet for a few minutes before she heard a very recognizable sigh. Smiling but not opening her eyes Anne smiled.
“What’s eating you Li?”
Lisa Ravens, or just Li for short, stared down at her best friend and sighed again. A few minutes passed and another sigh came. Finally it was too much for Anne. She knew what her friends wanted but she had been hoping they might take pity on her. Why she though t this she wasn’t sure.
“Fine you big babies… I’ll go back out there…”
Li and Tim grinned at each other and drug their friend out to where the entire cast and crew was waiting to present her with flowers and their thanks. She accepted the gifts and thanked them all hurriedly. There was nothing more she wanted than to go back to the privacy of her quiet life, but that was gone. Li kept hold of her best friends arm so that she couldn’t run away as the staff left and went to clean up the set. Finally after they had cleared the way Anne’s co-stars came forward. The five men were joking about their roles and how much fun they had doing another film together. They approached the young actress who was struggling with her friends and Jun called for her attention.
“OI…. Anne-san! Stop trying to run away from us already. I thought you already figured out that we don’t bite… hard.”
Anne glared at the man whom just a short time ago she was sharing very intimate scenes with. With a sigh she looked at the other’s pleading glances and finally gave in as both Li and Aiba stared at her. She stopped struggling and instead stood with her arms crossed over her chest. They had all long since learned from working with her the past 6 months that it meant she was not happy but she would deal with whatever the situation. Sho elbowed Jun who glared at the elder but didn’t say a word otherwise. After a few minutes he sighed and muttered an apology. The other members of Arashi grinned as their youngest member acted like a child. It was usually Nino who was called a brat but ever since the two had started working together the younger American actress was constantly teasing the older man and going head to head with him. They all knew that Jun was not used to having someone so willing to stand up to him and it was no secret that the feeling he portrayed in the film were very close to what he actually felt for the girl. The problem was that the little American was just as cryptic as her character. They had no clue if it was all acting or not. That was why she was currently standing in front of them. They planned to find out one way or another.
Ohno met her steady gaze and smiled gently. Anne cursed inwardly because the older man was very good at getting her to say things she didn’t necessarily want to say. After a few minutes she sighed in defeat and Ohno grinned smugly. She looked around at the group and saw their kindness. Anne fidgeted and stared at her hands while she tried to think of what she was going to say. After a few minutes of silence she looked around at the others and muttered something. Jun strained to hear what she had said but knew if he rushed her he would never get her to speak again. She felt her face blushing brightly as she repeated what she had said just a moment before.
“I like you despite the fact you are a spoiled bratty Princess who…”
She was cut off as Jun pulled her into a tight hug. He was grinning goofily and she couldn’t help but smile at his boyish charm. He gave her a quick kiss on the temple which of course made her blush come back in renewed vigor. The others laughed and she struggled to get free of Jun’s embrace but he refused to let go. She glared up at him as Nino chirped in the background.
“I thought you had gotten over that whole blushing thing already. Geez… All that hard work to beat it and as soon as you are out from in front of the camera you are the same little girl.”
Anne stuck her tongue out at the older man who simply smirked; the others high fived that they had finally managed to get the younger girl to admit her feeling for the idol. All of the sudden a staff member came by with a promo of the movie poster. The front had the five members of Arashi standing against a backdrop of Tokyo. Jun stood at the end of the line and held his hand out towards a figure. The figure was Anne, who had been told to look at them suspiciously as if they might attack her at any moment. Jun held a hand out to her with a pleading look and the title of the film “Aratana Hajimari” or “A New Beginning” was written in both at the bottom. Looking at the poster now the group smiled to themselves. If they could do anything about it then this definitely would be a new beginning.
One year later…
The figure was well dressed and no one would have mistaken them for anything less then what they were. Granted being a national idol was no easy feat but they managed to survive even being married. They had just finished filming for a movie and were finally going home to Tokyo. They stepped into the air terminal and looked around from behind the overly large sunglasses. After a sigh they continued over to where the luggage could be picked up. Finally on their way out of the terminal they looked at their watch. It was already 4 in the morning. To call the place dead was an understatement but it was the only way to travel that prevented them from being mobbed most of the time. They were halfway to the door when suddenly voices called out.
“Hey!! Chotto matte yo…. Damn it!! Mat~ Su~ Mo~ To ~SAN!!!!!”
They stopped in their tracks and turned towards the voices. Off to the side where passerbies could not notice them was a group of people. Their attention grabbed they felt a bright smile grace their face. They searched their group of friends and their eyes settled on one face in particular. It was a face they hadn’t seen in 3 months outside of their dreams. Before they could move however the group ran towards them and smothered them in a group hug. Shout of congratulations and welcomes home were forgotten when he showed up in front of her. She completely blocked out the others in favor of rememorizing the face of her beloved. He smiled down into her beautiful green eyes and kissed her thoroughly. Their friends had the decency to look away before finally Ohno gently cleared his throat. Anne pulled away with a gasp and hid her red face against her husband shirt. Jun chuckled softly and hugged her tightly.
“Okaeri darling… I am so happy you are back…”
“(sniff) Tadaima…”
He kissed her temple and turned her around to face the others. Aiba was barely contained between Sho and Li while Ohno, Nino and Tim stood together. She smiled gently at them and tilted her head to the side.
“Minna… Tadaima…”
Finally Sho and Li let go of a struggling Aiba and she was soon engulfed in a tall bundle of energy who had everyone involved in the group hug. After a few minutes everyone parted and it was only Aiba left holding onto her.
“Anne-chan…. We missed you oh so much!!! It feels like you have been gone for so long…. You are going to be home for a while right?? You won’t be leaving again anytime soon right?? Cause Matsujun has been suuper moody since you left… wah~~ SHO-CHAAAAAANNNN!!!!!! HELP MEEEEE!!!!”
She quickly hugged Jun as Aiba hid behind the others who were laughing hysterical. Jun frowned but stared down at her with a grin. They walked out of the airport hand in hand the married couple waved at their friends as they got in Jun’s car. Once in the car Anne and Jun sat in comfortable silence. Just the slight brush of hands as Jun shifted gears was evidence of how much the couple was glad to be together. Once home they quickly fell into bed and spent hours rememorizing every little nook and cranny of each other. They each had the morning off the following day but had to be at the same recording since she would be the guest on Arashi’s TV show. At 9 that morning Jun groaned when his phone went off. He reached out blinding and answered it while trying to not wake up Anne who was sleeping on his chest.
“What… hrm… 4 o’clock, gotcha… un… (pause) Good bye Nino.”
He hung up and placed his phone the desk and turned back to wrap his arms around Anne. After a few minutes he heard her sigh and felt her breath against his chest.
“I’m awake…”
Jun couldn’t help but chuckle at her rough nature. He knew from experience that she was not a morning person. He also knew that the less sleep she got the grumpier she would be, and since she was awake she wouldn’t fall back asleep in time to get any real sleep before they had to be ready to go to the studio. Jun sighed and ushered her into the shower while he went to make breakfast. She came out 15 minutes later and dressed as the smell of food filled their apartment. She pulled on a tank top and shorts and went into the kitchen. Anne couldn’t help but giggle as she watched her husband mill around the kitchen in an apron. To say it was a crime how sexy he looked in the damn thing would be accurate but she still found it funny how masculine who could be at times. They sat and had a nice breakfast before he left for work but not before kissing her goodbye. As soon as she left she smiled to herself and got dressed for her part of today. She had to bring in the interview sheet to the recording of Himitsu no Arashi-chan today because it had been decided that she would be the guest. Not only due to her marriage to the idol but mainly to promote her latest film.
She picked out a simple wrapped dress which accentuated her curves and threw a pair of heels into her bag before leaving the apartment for the studio. She arrived at the studio and was immediately taken to a separate part of the studio where she had to give her impression of the five men as well as for the director to pick out which parts of her that they would like to reveal more about during that show. After that it was all a waiting game. Finally the recording started and she could hear the audience applaud as the men made their way onto the set. When it came time to reveal her impressions she listened closely to their reactions. For Sho, she had said “Rapping leader… who fails at most anything else”. The audience and the rest of his group burst out laughing while Sho pouted. Next was Aiba whom she described as “Just like my best friend… such a puppy” Aiba grinned while the audience squealed in excitement. And so it went for the others as well. For Nino she said “Amazingly gifted at multi-tasking” and for Ohno she said “Fishing leader”. The audience laughed and everyone held their breaths waiting to hear what would be said about Jun. She had thought long and hard about what she would say about the man but had finally decided on saying “A perfect mix of masculine and feminine”.
Jun reacted just as she expected and soon the audience was waiting for her entrance. As she heard Sho give the cue she stepped up behind the curtains. As he gave the word the curtains opened and their cohosts announced her. She was shocked by the amount of applause she received as she made her way down the stairs. Jun walked over to the stairs and held a hand for her to make the last few steps knowing how clumsy she was which also earned him much praise from the audience. She chuckled and elbowed him slightly as he led her over to their seats. She bowed to the studio as she was introduced again and they began a short breakdown of her impressions. The first one mentioned was Ohno’s to which she simply replied that the two of them always seemed to spend time together out fishing. The audience oohed and ahed as Ohno grinned triumphantly. The next one addressed was Nino. She explained how she would meet with them in their break room from time to time and every time she thought the man wasn’t paying attention he could perfectly replay the entire conversation. Finally Jun was addressed. She laughed and looked at the audience in particular.
“He’s very handsome ne? and Masculine? But he looks absolutely adorable in an apron…”
The audience squealed in delight as Jun blushed furiously and nearly ran off the stage when they announced that she had brought a picture. Jun walked off the set when a large picture of him in a pink frilly apron was put up on the screen. Anne chuckled and told the audience that despite his idol status the man was very shy and cute in home life. Finally in order to stop his wife from divulging any more embarrassing stories he came out wearing a pink frilly apron and strutted around stage before taking it off and sitting next to her on the couch. With that laughter out of their system the group settled down and the rest of the show began. They asked a few questions but the interview paused when one of the facts revealed was that “Anne-san is completely different at home and with friends”. Anne felt her face flush as the Arashi members grinned knowing their chance had come. They spoke of the first time they had worked together on the movie a few years ago and how incredibly shy she had been. It was then that Jun smiled and announced “Actually… She still hides from me sometimes… And we have been together for two years.”
The audience squealed “kawaii” as she blushed pink and looked directly at the man who was beaming now.
“Pay back for the apron…”
“Nope… that will come later..”
She sighed and looked at the audience. She explained at he was not only extremely sadistic but also very keen on pay back. They laughed and the rest of the show was full of laughter and playful banter amongst the whole group. Finally the recording was done and she waited in the dressing room for them to show up. After a few minutes she heard them coming and simply sat on the couch waiting for them. She now wore a tank top and a pair of jeans with her flats. Jun entered the room first and lay across the couch pulling her against him. She greeted the others before turning to kiss him gently. The other members simply smiled gratefully and worked to take their makeup and costumes for that day off in exchange for their plain clothes. After a few minutes Jun also got up but continued to talk to his little wife as he got changed.
“Ne… do you have anything else to do today?”
“Hai~”
“Eh?! Mahji!!!... What is it?”
“… Spending time with my lover.”
Jun paused for a moment before turning to her with a broad grin. She chuckled at how cute he could look and winked quickly at Ohno who gave her a quick thumbs up. The group didn’t have any jobs for the rest of the evening so as soon as he was changed she gave a quick farewell to her friends before Jun could drag her out to his car. He knew that she would have called someone to drive her to the studio just so she could ride home with him. It was one of the few amenities that Johnny had allowed her when he had finally approved the couple’s marriage. Together the couple drove home and the only thing on their minds was each other, and making up for lost time.

Jun paused for a moment before turning to her with a broad grin. She chuckled at how cute he could look and winked quickly at Ohno who gave her a quick thumbs up. The group didn’t have any jobs for the rest of the evening so as soon as he was changed she gave a quick farewell to her friends before Jun could drag her out to his car. He knew that she would have called someone to drive her to the studio just so she could ride home with him. It was one of the few amenities that Johnny had allowed her when he had finally approved the couple’s marriage. Together the couple drove home and the only thing on their minds was each other, and making up for lost time.
