So they finally put up the list of ID#s for the people who passed the paper round of JET for an interview.
I have been super excited about this for a while now and after locating my pin I went to check the lists.

Apparently I didn't make it... It bothers me because I kept getting told "oh everyone makes the interview, its only after they cut people"

Don't let JET's opinion bring you down! Their way of picking candidates is very very ODD. o_0 There's no rhyme or reason, and they end up making some pretty horrible mistakes and leaving good people out. I like to think I was one of their *good* choices, but I had some really crappy coworkers, and I kept thinking, "How did you get chosen? You're an a**hole!" I also heard it's harder at some consulates than it is others. You would apply through Atlanta, right? A coworker of mine interviewed in Atlanta and they made her CRY. D: They're that tough there. I've heard NYC is really strict on candidates and grills people when they come to interview.
Anyhoo, just randomly dropping by to say don't give up on your dreams to teach abroad and don't let JET discourage you from trying again or seeking other options! :Dv

*hugs* thank you soo much!! I don't plan to give up at all, but actually I would have to apply through Miami since I live in FL currently. I definitely don't plan to let JET dash my dreams at all, it just kind of hurt a little bit since I have been looking forward to being able to apply for 3 years now... Anyway thanks sooo much for the kind words :) it really makes me feel supported, but like I have said I am not going to give up... what doesn't kill me makes me stronger ne~
