Ok... so Tokyo trip finished.. and I am officially back in Korea. But not before having TWO(yes two) wonderful experiences at Swallowtail Butler cafe in Ikebukuro. I went with the awesome Miss Ka and to say we had a blast would be an understatement. Our first 'date' was an evening adventure... but we were actually 2 hours early because we mistook the time. TO be honest we were both complete nerves XD I don't think I was that nervous even meeting Fade the first time.
But our time came and we were greeted by a very sweet doorman. He chatted with Kat while I listened and was very kind to us. He of course complimented her on her Japanese(which is wonderful) and was surprised she had learned to speak so well in just a year. It was very interesting to listen to. After they talked about me a bit, explaining that I understand some but speaking is impossible XD haha~ Anyway our time came and the side door opened and we were greeted by our Butler\receptionist... I would consider him kind of a head butler type person. But Shinomiya-san was his name and never before have I been presented with such a wonderfl face. full of smiles and shining eyes that actually seem to show he'd be up for a little mischief~
Then we were presented by our butler for the evening, who we later found out(after MUCH flailing is actually the second stuart of the house). We were led to a small alcove, which was exactly what we were hoping for. ANd well... to call the experience hilarious would be appropriate. We were so nervous, that our dear butler seemed to pick up on it. Because as he went to pour water, he suddenly slipped and poured quite a bit on the table. The thunderstruck look on his face was one of shock and panic, as if that had absolutely never happened to him before. He cleaned it up quite prettily while giving his apologies over and over. and as he left Ka and I could finally breath. because our butler was very much human. And then we proceeded to flail over how simply ADORABLE he is... so yes we flailed.. in fact we were not exactly "lady like" that evening I fear. But it was such an enjoyable experience, from teasing the poor man to Kat being scolded, yes scolded, by our cheeky devilish man for cutting her scone XD hahahahah... So yes Kagami-san is quite the man~ Look at that figure~~
Our evening ended without much trouble and well we did both squeal going up the stairs as we finished... but wouldn't you too!! I mean how can you not after getting such an impressive evening all the way to the send off~~ Afterwards we went and searched out the Patisserie that is affiliated with our dear butlers, and that I had stumbled across the previous day in my exploring. We walked in with just the idea of Ka buying preserves in mind... and walked out with a dvd of one of there Opera productions... oops
And that should have been it... however after Ka had gotten home and I was resting in my bed, all the sudden I have FB messages asking me if I'd want to do breakfast... with the butlers again... needless to say, despite the TERRIBLY early meet up we were both ridiculously excited. So excited that we showed up at the cafe about an hour early... and we saw several of the dear men arriving for work XD.. it was slightly embarrassing because, well the reason we were there was QUITE obvious. Needless to say we milled about the steps like restless kittens for some time until the dear doorman appeared and we sort of ambushed him and asked if there were any possible reservations that morning.. and you know what... RESERVATION GET!! yes we got our second reservation for 10:40 in the morning with no problem... however being still extremely early we went and walked around slightly, trying to calm our nerves. Heading back to the cafe was fine and we arrived perfectly on time. When we entered we were once again greeted by dear Shinomiya-san~ The difference this time was our butler. A very cute man by the name of Tamaki-san~ seriously he was very adorable...
we were shown to a table, this time quite in the open and sat... and here is where trouble ensues. You see the serviets were quite slippery, and as a lady you are NOT allowed to do anything for yourself (grabbing your purse, pouring tea, going to the restroom... you must be led and handled with utmost care). So we were sitting there, had placed our order when suddenly mine slips from my lap. And I stared at Kat quite comically because WHAT SHOULD I DO!! well no need to worry our butler brought one out quite quickly, brushing off my apology and simply placing it back in my lap... and that should be all right... oh no... Kat not much time later also dropped hers.. and dear Tamaki-san was busy serving another table at the time. So we sat there giggling, wondering what to do since we didn't dare disturb the dear. But before we could worry much another young butler brought her another(I am fairly certain he was watching us giggle over the hilarity of it all quite amused before actually grabbing a replacement)... The morning was also full of losing food from our forks and spoons and just general tomfoolery as we tried to remain lady-like... and failed. at one point my serviet dropped once more and we didn;'t dare let anyone know... so Kat looks at me and goes "quick grab it before anyone notices!!" so I did and we preceeded to giggle more... then I finished my tea quite quickly, since herbal tea is much easier to drink than straight tea, and with Kat's encouragement ordered a second pot of a different blend. And noticing that I still had tea, despite it really being our time, dear Tamaki-san asked Shinomiya-san to give us just slightly longer. NOw I had mentioned to Kat how the tea cup with the second pot had quite a small handle. And so at the very end I was showing her and all the sudden both Tamaki-san and Shinomiya-san encouraged her to please try the tea XD Oh lord it as the absolute cutest thing ever. Finally after we *barely* retained our composure we were led out *catching a lovely glance of dear Kagami-san again* and taken to the door. I was assisted with my coat(something that threw me off but I appreciated none the less) by dear Shinomiya-san. We received our things and stepped out the door, recieving quite the large grin from the doorman. (i fear he may have remembered by flailing as we left the previous evening).
Anyway we left finally and that was our butler experience for the week. Well almost... bahaha you see we had a tea that was blended by our deear Kagami-san to start our morning with. and Ka was completely in love with. So we returned to the Patisserie once more so that she could grab the tea. That ALL we would get... then we saw photo books. once wasn't that interesting... then we opened another and recieved a full on view of our dear dear butlers all sleeping in the cutest form... needless to say that too was added to the purchases... and no less the name of the book was "Sucre" XD so yess it was very very sweet. We headed back to pick up my luggage from the hostel and sat in the lobby, flailing over the dear butlers cute faces quite openly. I know we highly amused some of the staff present. XD
Mah finally our day did have to come to a close and even as we said our goodbyes, Ka to her home and me off to the airport, it was a day full of wonderful memories <3 After all... "every woman needs something to flail over once in a while"
